Leftovers = poison

Anyone else (still) having a problem with leftovers? About 5-6 hours ago, I heated up some tuna steak that I brought home from a restaurant yesterday and I got a few bites in before it came back up. I tried a little piece of cheese a couple hours later and a couple bites of a cracker, but that didn't stay down either. I just had my water come back up! It feels like those first days on solid/pureed foods again. I feel like I have a lead ball in my chest. I even tried walking it off and was up and down the steps a few times before I just tried the water. I feel like crying...I gotta go get BabyBear... Lisa

Hey Lisa, I have the same problem with leftovers. I noticed that re-heating anything in the microwave is a no go. I hope you are feeling better already.

I have the same problem Lisa! My doc. said most people do because reheating leftovers dries them out, which in turn makes it harder for us to tolerate. Your not alone...trust me!!! Hope you feel better Allison

Lisa, honey, I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time w/ this. How about trying some warm tea or hot soup? See if this helps sooths your stomach. Hope you're feeling better soon. Donna, sfy

Oh ow I am so sorry you have this. I can not say we have that (hubby or I) but I know what it is like to have problems with certain foods. Hubby still occasionally has probs 9 months out but it is very few and far between. It does get better. It might have had to do with the moisture. Sometimes nuuking stuff takes the moisture out. I would say cook very small amounts and no reheating for a while. Sounds like your pouch just does not like it at all. Feel better...I agree maybe some hot tea. Rest up, Melissa

Aw, Lisa...so sorry that you are having a problem with leftovers. I have not had the same problem. I don't eat leftovers very often. I usually cook just a serving for me. I hope you are feeling better now. Take care... Hugs, Tabby

I gave up trying to eat leftovers. I basically have given up cooking. It is just me so I don't need to cook big meals. I do cook on Sunday when people are around to eat. I truly miss my leftovers. I loved them. A.

Thanks, everyone. I finally kept 2 saltines down around 11pm. That was all, for the whole day! Guess I'm off leftovers for good. I've been able to eat this morning ok. Lisa

I can only do "wet leftovers"...things like soups and meats with sauces on them. I brought some chicken fajita fixings home with me one Friday night, in order to tolerate them I had to cut it up very small, mix with the veggies and add in some salsa before microwaving. I can see where a tuna steak would loose its moisture in the microwave very quickly. Sorry you had such problems. ICK.

WOW sorry the left overs were ugly to you.. I would starve to death if I couldn't eat left overs LOL. Thats pretty much ALL we eat. I am sure you are better by now but peppermint tea always helps me when I have food try and kick my butt. *huggles* Felicia =0)
