Good evening dear friends, I just wanted to let you know that my husband and I have tomorrow off from work!!! YIPPEEE!!! So, we have decided to go away for the day and have some fun. I need to buy a new Spring jacket. The one I have had for the last few years ...this is kind of neat....wraps the entire way around me now and I can also wrap me and my daughter in it!!!!! My mom is coming home on Saturday for a week. I called her tonight and she had to tell me some bad news. My Aunt Connie (who has lung cancer) was told this week that they are going to do Chemotherapy, but they dont give her much hope as the cancer is in both lungs and it doesn't look good. They are doing a test on Tuesday to see if the cancer has spread to her brain....So, please keep her in your prayers. I thought about her all day today and I think that maybe that is why I have been so emotional today.... I have to work on Saturday...i am a proctor for Construction Code Exams so I won't be on here then either...but I will be thinking of all of you! Have a good weekend.... Hugs, Holly P.S. Sorry this ended as kind of a depressing message!

Holly, Thoughts and prayers are def coming that was for her and your family. I hope that they can keep her comfortable. Keep your chin up. You never know what is going to happen. Have a great weekend and have fun shopping. sounds like a new jacket def what you need. Then again maybe you and hubby can snuggle inside together. Keep you warm together. Then again if it is girly he might not think it is such a romantic idea after all Big hugs coming your way, Melissa

So glad to hear you and hubby are getting some free time together. Me and mine did the fun day last weekend. It was great because he didn't do anything to **** me off. It was kinda like when we first started dating So sorry to hear about your aunt! I am not a real religious person but have my own unique way of looking at things. The best way to handle this situation is to put her in Gods hands. I hope that will give you the comfort that you need. I understand how hard it is to think of losing someone but it is going to happen to all of us....it is a part of life. If God can make her better then she will pull through. On the other hand and I hate to say this, but if God has other plans for her and needs her in Heaven then it is his will and nobody can change that. We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers and if you need to talk we are here for you. Lisa S

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My mothers best friend is on hospice care right now, so we know the struggles a family goes through. Congrats on the coat sister! I've decided not to buy new coats until I'm down to goal. It made the winter tough. I really wanted to try skiing - but didn't have anything other than my too big parka (which hangs down to mid calf now!) and a too big leather jacket (which I wore every day). About mid-January a friend (and fellow WLS gal) gave me one of her jackets, a beautiful black wool coat....nothing appropriate for skiing. So we'll wait until next winter when I can buy the perfect jacket..then I'll give it a try. I'll be wearing a pull-over hoddie/windbreaker from highschool this spring!!!! I haven't worn it since I was 20 (and I'm almost 36).
