Ok here is an update. YAY!!! The Dr. (pcp) I went to today was just great. Did a very thorough exam of me and my legs and my back and hips and you name it. He was great. Tested the strength between the two legs and the differences. Looked at my MRI films that I had with me from this morning as well as the knee x-rays. He was not so fast to jump that it might be MS or something neurological but more of an issue in my back. He said the weakness is more centered in my thigh than my calf. He found some spots in my back that were tender that I did not realize were even there till he decided to push on them (OUCH!!!). I was very happy with him. Great bedside manner and put me at more ease that we will find out what is going on and to not worry so much. He was a little surprised that no exam and or x-rays of my lower back had been done or ordered so that is were I am headed tomorrow. He was not quick to criticize the other Dr. just my observation in his words and tone. I actually like that he did not talk bad about the other Dr. as I think it is just a professional thing. Do not have to worry about his office not following through like the other one. Before I ever left the office the gal had already called the MRI place to request the results be sent to him as well. They really seem right on the ball. YAY!! Finally!!! He was pretty familiar with RNY..as familiar as they can really be I think. Told him about my other diagnosis's and he agreed with me that the steps that were taken were not appropriate. Just can not say enough he seems to be a winner. So for now I still have the same thing going on. Extreme weakness in my right leg with the knee locking up and giving out on me....so basically I look like a 90 year old lady trying to walk. There is not much pain except at night after a day of being up and down. Such is life being a nanny to a 2 1/2 year old. Sit still HA RIGHT!!! Tylenol does the trick so that will tell ya it is not bad at all. This new Dr. said that there is nothing I need to worry about with work. I am fine to pick him up and do as I normally do. LOL may have to stretch that one when hubby gets back to get him to take the trash out and do the laundry for me! JK... Thank you so much for all your messages. It has really helped especially with Fred being gone. Thank goodness he is back on Sat. I can not wait! I have already told him he is no longer allowed to leave me at home alone. I am too attached to him. Needless to say I now have the appropriate paperwork to have ALL of my records transfered to the new Dr. Old PCP BYE BYE!!!!! Hugs and many thanks to everyone, Melissa

Oh, Melissa, that is such wonderful news. Sounds like a very good doctor indeed. Sounds like my PCP and I absolutely LOVE HER!!! She makes me feel so at ease and I am so comfortable with any treatments she prescribes. Hopefully you will be getting some answers soon, too. I'd play up the pain and limp when Fred gets home to milk it for all you can. He did leave you alone for a week. Hee Hee. BTW...how did his interview go? Any other ones? Keep us posted on your x-ray and how you are feeling. Huge Hugs, Tabby
