Well...it's Thursday, the day I clean the little boys room. Not really into cleaning today. I am going to take it easy. We had some stress yesterday due to the little one being BAD at school. This has NEVER EVER happened before, so I just need to decompress...and talk to my Mom! She always puts things into perspective for me - especially when it comes to the kids. Anyway, this is what I have on the schedule for today: Regular chores: 1. Make beds 2. Dishes 3. Swiffer kitchen 4. Laundry 5. Quick vac Little boys room: 1. Wash sheets 2. Remake beds 3. Dust 4. Vac 5. Clean their tv. 6. Anything else that needs to be done to straighten the room. Would also like to give both dogs a bath and then scrub out that tub. Not sure if this will happen. But, as these two mutts have decided that MY BED is a good place for them to NAP I want them to smell better! Also need to go to the grocery store (out of milk) and take clothes to the consignment shop (still haven't done that). So, that's my day. Hope you all have a good one!!! Susan

Bless your heart. I soooo admire you. I so do not have a shcedule yet. I am int he do it when I see it needs done schedule. Have started reading sink reflections though so I am sure that will change. Felicia said I will never be the same after reading it. Lets hope so. I am a neat and tidy person but the deep cleaning is on an see it need done do it basis Ok so here is my solution to the whole stinky doggy thing. Groomers! That way you don;t have to clean them and you don;t have to clean the tub AND all that hair is somewhere else to be cleaned! YAY... OK had to stick that one in there. Have always had dogs that needed prof groomed so always did the groomers. OK then when they are at the groomer you take a nap...ok see great plan!!! Have a great one! Melissa

Hey Melissa!! I used to have the same schedule. Only cleaned when it was obvious it needed it. Then, it was HARD work! Now that I've got the house clean (except for ONE closet) it's so much easier to give everything a quick once over each week. Now it stays clean and it's not nearly as much work. I've never read Sink Reflections, but I have been a member of FLYLady.net for YEARS! So, I've probably read everything that's in her book one e-mail at a time. Felicia is right. It does change the way you think - if you let it!!! Even though I don't follow her system exactly (have tweaked it for me) I do the 27 fling boogies, the "missions" from Kelly, and some of the other fun things. Oh...as for the dogs....the mini schnauzer does need professional grooming DESPERATELY. Just can't afford to take him right now. The other dog is a mutt and just needs a bath to be better. I prefer to have them done (there's a doggie day spa in my town where I take them) just need the $$$ right now. It sucks being a one income family sometimes....But, I LOVE being home. Guess I have to take the good with the bad. Susan

OK miss Flylady you.. pop your hiney down to the library and check it out and read it! You will love it!!! I sooooooooooooooooooo agree with the "if you let it". That is one thing about the program is you have to step out of the martyr roll(my fav part of the book) and into the open minded roll lolol. I don't follow her program exactly either now but I learned her lessons and then when I was ready I created my own. Do you still have a list for your routines??? *hugs n wuvs* Felicia =0)

Susan, I plan to read more of the book today. I am really enjoying what I have read! I look at what you and Felicia do each day and have great admiration for both of you! I hear you on the deep cleaning part. That is what I hate and try to avoid. Luckily with just Fred and I it does not get too much. we are right off the highway though and since we like the windows open I am plaugued with DUST DUST DUST!!! Hate that one! I am def going to work harder on the just keep up thing. Totally sounds like a plan to me. Awe I have a mini schnauzer too. Well that is actualyl kind of a laugh. He is a pure bread that the vet is baffled by. The vet takes care of both his parents so we know where he came from. The part come in that he weighs in at a wopping 22lbs. Like I said the vet is baffled The other is a pomeranian/yorkie mix. Looks kinda like tots! Too cute. Anywho we have a pretty cheap groomer we are lucky. We can get them both in for $40.00 and change. They only go every other month though. They prob do not do the best job that could be done but they are clean and pretty. Have to admit that while I am in NJ they live with my parents in Co. So I get to pay for it but never get to enjoy it . The schnauzer became Dad's dog before I ever left. Dad used to come and pick him up from my apt to "play" with him and I would get a call at work saying to come pick him up after work Dad and him totally fell for each other and there is no way I could ever take him away now. He is sooooo Dad's dog. Anywho enough rambling. Have a great day!!! xoxo, Melissa
