Fluids! Are you floating yet???
OK We allllllll know we have heard protein protein protein but how are we doing on our fluids??? Are you one of those people who get in "the required" or are you an over achiever trying to shoot for the most you can get in, in a day.
Since Saturday I have been trying to get in 64 ounce of plain water every day.
Sat I got in 64 once plain water
Sun I got in 82 ounces plain water
Mon I got in 96 ounces of plain water
and today I am already at 64 ounces and have my next 16 sitting in front of me...
This is not counting other fluids as I try and only count the fluids that give my poor ole kidneys a break..
My goal is 64 ounces a day of plain water.. but I am shooting for seeing how much I can get in past that amount.
How about you? How many ounces of fluids are YOU getting in today??
*huggles*

And yes I know I know I know "You cant do plain water" thats why I said fluids *grin*.
I have always loved water so I have no trouble getting water in. I usually do at least 64 plain water a day, then I get in 32 of CL and then about 20 of milk. I break the plain water and CL up during the day and today at orientation I did 60 oz of water fountain water all day and I could not wait to get home and get some good flavor into me. Strange how I would see people before with drinks by them in the living room or on the night stand and never understood why they did that. Now, I have fluids with me at all times. I head down the hall and the water bottle goes with me, in the car, everywhere. Just such a part of my life now, don't know how I survived not doing it before. I have always drank alot but I would get up and go to the sink and get it or out of the frig. Now, just automatic to always have it with me. We gotta keep pushing those fluids..........Take care all......Gay
I am consistently getting in between 64 and 100 oz per day.
I have the hardest time with plain water. I started out doing crystal light or sf kool-aid. I found that they both left an aftertaste that I didn't like. Then, my wife got me started adding splenda packs to the water. I get a lot of funny looks, but it gives me the sweetness and I am able to drink a lot very easily now.
Well...I feel like I'm floating today. As I've not been up and doing, I've had fluids with me all day and I've been drinking them. Just realized I only need 12 more oz to have my 64 for the day. This is GREAT news for me as most days I have to stay up till 11:00-12:00 to get in all 64 oz. Sad, but true. HAVE to have the 64 or I feel parched. Just seem to have problems getting them all in every day. I'm working on it though......

I feel like I am either floating or PEEING!!! I am one that can't tolerate flavored waters. I drink plain water all the time. Don't even care for bottled spring water. I have an empty water bottle that Dave drank and I keep refilling it from the tap and freezing it. As it thaws, I drink it and fill it back up. I keep doing this until it is gone, then I refill it and put it back in the freezer and grab another one. I usually only fill it about 3/4 of the way full...part for expanding and part to top off and give me something to drink while it is melting.
I get in about 64 oz a day. I also have a cup of tea or a cup of coffee a day, plus my protein shake made with 12 oz of skim milk. I am definately staying hydrated.
You are doing so well!!! Keep up the great work.
Hugs,

SOmething clicked inside of me about 2 weeks ago and all of a sudden downing fluids was no longer a problem. Water finally sits just fine and goes down nice and easily. I've slacked wayyyyy off on my consumption of sf orangeade and fruit punch.
So far today I've only had 20oz, but I will have 10oz more during my lunch hour (eat the 1st 20 min, wait 1/2 an hour then drink a glass of water) then I'll get in at least 40oz more before I leave work and 24oz at least during my evening schedule.
Last night was the first time I REALLY felt like I was floating, at least my bladder did. I had to "go" before I left work, went to teach my lesson and by the time I got to the gym to change for my water aerobics class I thought I would burst. Then....had to go again in the middle of class (made it through without going though), and then again, when I got home..I was running through the front door.
I guess my kidneys are getting plenty of flushing.
