Hi Clarissa... Sorry to hear you are having such troubles. I don't have any of those symptoms, so I can't give you any insights. However, it does sound like a visit to your doctor is in order. He/she would be the one to address these issues with, not us as none of us are medical professionals who can advise you properly. I wish you the best of luck getting everything resolved. Please stay in touch and let us know how you are doing. And, congrats on the weight loss! You are doing fantastic!! Susan

If I remember my reading right that when we shed such large amounts of fats at the pace we are losing it also releases a large amount of hormones into our system. From what you are posting I would guess you are normal and since you have lost a LOT of weight in a short amount of time your hormones are being released as the same high rate. I would give your surgeon a call and tell him your concerns and see what options they have to offer you. Good luck!! *huggles* Felicia =0)

I am having the same problem. I agree with Felicia's theory on it all though. Contact your doc. and keep us posted. I would love to know what he has to say. I haven't addressed this with my doc. yet. Allison

Aw, Clarissa...so sorry that you are experiencing this. I can't say that I am the same. My cycles have gotten shorter (rather normal) and I am no more moody than in the past. I bet it is the hormones making your irritable. I would check with your surgeon or pcp. Have you changed birth control pills recently? Are you on them? You may need to change them. I know someone on here was having problems with the depo shots and having short cycles and hardly any time between periods. Definately somthing to have checked. Hope you get some answers. Hugs, Tabby

Well, hun...I am sorry you are feeling sooo moody. Do you take any type of anti-depressants? Maybe you should see your doctor. I take 20 mg of Lexapro every morning. I have been on it for a couple of years now. I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago and everything went down hill from there. Of course my hubby also is on 20 mg of Lexapro as well. We have to take the meds or else we would probably kill one another....lol. I thought that the weight gain was what shut down my sex drive but now I am fully convinced that it had nothing to do with it. After losing almost 70 lbs....I still could care less about sex. I know that Lexapro does take away sexual desires but I really don't think that is all together the case with me either. I am almost 40 years old and I think the hysterectomy is what shot everything to hell. Some women after having that surgery can't get enough and some could care less about it and that is me. To a certain point it does bother my husband but I think he has gotten used to it. He is on a lot of meds that also suppress the sex drive so I am happy about that. As far as my moods.....I pretty much stay in a good mood. Which is a shocker for me with all that goes on around here at home. At work I am on cloud 9 most of the time. Here is what happened to me the other day at work....This one asst. mgr. walked past the photo lab and I said "good morning James!" He said good morning and went on towards the front of the store. A few minutes later he came back to the counter at the photo lab and said " I want to ask you something....what is up with you??? You are sooo jolly and happy...you've lost weight....got your hair cut and styled....and you know how stars sprinkle in the night...well you have stars that sprinkle in your eyes....what is going on with you???? LOL...I didn't know what to say other than the fact that I was feeling sooo much better and glad that it shows . He said "Awwww, is that what it is???" I said "Yep and I would be even more happier if I could get the customer service mgr. job!!!" lol He laughed and said just hang in there you will get it sooner or later. That would really be icing on my cake!!! I would feel like I had accomplished all my goals at Wal-Mart. I hope you get to feeling better Clarissa....it is a awful feeling to be in a bad mood all the time....but there is meds out there that you can take and I am sure with the right one you can be a happier person as well. Good Luck.... Lisa S.
