3 (ok 4) month follow up
OK here is my little update.
I had my 3 (really 4) month follow up today. It went really well. I am down 67 from surgery at 4 months out and they were very happy with that. They did say that it was pretty normal that I slowed down so much in Jan and Feb due to the pregnancy and the loss as well. They said that my increase in loss this last week prob means that my body is finally getting back to normal and they said that things should pick up again. YAY!! So glad to hear that one. My B-12 and my Vit D were a tad low so going to increase them. They were not sure why but the B-12 is something I was low on before surgery so they said it is not too unnormal for it to be low again after. Thyroid was too high (as I already knew) so for that I have to go to my PCP. HA yeah right. That is a whole other situation. All in all it was a great visit. I did ask about the problem with my right leg and they suggested that I go to a neurologist to see what they thought. They have seen it very little but before it has been from a great vit deficiency that caused neurological problems and or something as simple as a pinched nerve. I have an appt with a new PCP on Thursday so hopefully he will be better. he is reccomended by both my OB and my surgeons office. On the other hand my current PCP obviousely did not feel in neccesary that I be able to walk normal and or that it was enough of an issue because he has not returned my calls today about any of the results from all the testing I had on Friday. I called the insurance company and he has not submitted for the MRI that he thinks I need. At this point I am just going to lay low and wait for the new doc. I was able to work today just fine. I am sure he just thinks I look funny trying to walk with this limp. Anywho that is the update. It was a great day despite. Hubby had an interview tonight with one of the companies so we will see how it goes. We just know that if it is meant for us to be there he will find something CO and if we are meant to stay in NJ then there will not be anything there. Only He knows what is right for us.
I hope everyone has a great week! Thank you everyone for all your thoughts and prayers
xoxo,
Melissa
You are going a excellent job Melissa!!! Keep up the good work. You had a miscarriage??? I didn't know....sooo sorry to hear that!!! I has one when I was 17 and it was not a pleasant experience. A big hug going out to you on that one!
I also know what you mean by leg pain...I have nerve damage in my right leg due to the job I did many years ago. I have numbness from my hip to my knee when ever I lay or sit too long. I must say that it has even gotten better with the weight loss. I have found that alot of my aches and pains was all from weight. I have had problems with my weight loss slowing down in Jan. and Feb. but it seems to be rolling again...thank GOD!!! I got on the scales yesterday morning and I was down to 195.2 that is just a hair way from 194 which will give me 70 lbs of blubber GONE!!!!! I am just sooo thrilled that I talked myself into having this surgery. I actually can't believe I went through with it but sooo glad that I did!!
Here is to you and your good work!!! Even though I don't drink
Lisa S.
Glad to hear that the appt went well and that your surgeon took time to explain the slow down in the loss and to address your deficiencies. I hope that your new PCP is more attentive. Your current PCP SUCKS in customer service. He kind of sloughed off your miscarriage, too, didn't he? Idiot!!!! Hope that all is well with your leg and they can get things straightened out soon.
Still praying that Fred finds a job in CO and you guys can move closer to your family. Best wishes!!!
Hugs,
Tabby
Glad to hear your appt went so well for you and he took the time with you to explain all the issues on your vitamins. I hope you like this new PCP and can get some results for your leg problem.
I hope and pray that Fred finds a good job. I know that there is something out there for him and He will allow Fred to find what is out there for him.
Hugs~~

Melissa!!
Congrats on the great appt!! Glad to hear your surgeon addressed all your concerns. I hope the NEW PCP does too. Obviously the old one wasn't going to do that. Now...get those appts made, those deficiencies corrected and get better!!! Will continue praying about the job situation. I know what it means to you to get to move closer to family. We are hoping for that too with hubby's next duty assignment.
Hugs,
Susan
