Doctor's office called and they want another test done....

what the heck is going on here. I now have to have a cat scan done because he did not like the looks of the upper GI that was done today!!! My body has been through enough lately that another test is going to set it off. So I guess I am going to go and have that test done as well with a little fight of course. The nurse that I talked with said that the upper GI did not give the results that he was hoping for and from what was seen (keep in mind another test) that there is a blockage down futher in my intestines and he thinks my insides need to rest, this is coming from the nurse. She also said that he is thinking about putting something into old tummy so that I can eat some nutrition and give the "new" pouch and things time to rest so I am not sure that I would need anther surgery or not. I do feel better but a little scared all at the same time. Just a little update. Hugs~~ Deanne

Deanne...when are you getting the CAT Scan and when does the doctor want to see you? How can you put something in your old tummy without another operation? Man, I can't wait until you get some answers. I just wish so much that you were better...I know, no more than you wish you were better. The CAT scan is tomorrow morning at 11:30 and the doctor's appt is at 2:15 so I will have a hurried day tomorrow with work and all along with these appt's too. I am not sure how they can put something in your old tummy without another operation either...I am asking that question that is for sure. I really do not want to watch that one and you better knock my butt out to do it too. I can not wait to get answers either. I wished I was better as well and if I keep losing weight like I have been...I did not want it to come off like this. I would definetly not call you a crazy lady and there might be a line. lol I need some sort of answers but I think we are working towards that and they are just not blowing me off like I am the crazy one here. I want 2:15 tomorrow to be here right now!! Hugs~~ Deanne

*Big hugs* to my very sweet friend. Well....all I can say is I am glad they are pursuing this with such intensity finally! It's about darn time!!!! I just wish they had investigated all these possibilities a bit earlier for you. I'm a bit confused about what the nurse meant about putting something in your stomach so your pouch could get a rest and you could still get nutrition. Sounds like something got lost in the translation there. Maybe the nurse misunderstood the doc? I hope so!! Anyway....I'm glad they are finally calling you with some sort of answers. Hopefully after your appts tomorrow they will have definitive answers for you....and I pray none of them involve more surgery. DEANNE, THE CAT SCAN WON'T BE TO BAD. THEY JUST INJECT YOU W/ SOME DYE AND YOU LAY ON A TABLE AND GO BACK AND FORTH THROUGH A TUNNEL LIKE AREA. I'VE HAD IT DONE, NOT BAD. MY CONCERN IS WHY THE DR. HIMSELF DIDN'T CALL YOU W/ THE RESULTS OF THE UPPER GI SERIES. IT SOUNDS AS IF THEY MIGHT WANT TO PUT IN A FEEDING TUBE INTO THE OLD STOMACH FOR AWHILE AND CAN BE REVERSED.
