I did not know this!!!
Yesterday morning I got dressed early for work so that I could stop by the PCP office and get my B-12 shot. When I went in to have the shot I told the nurse (dr's wife) that the first shot I got 2 months ago really gave me a burst of energy and didn't feel it much with the second shot that I got. I told her that I started taking a few B-12's pills before I was due to come back this time to give me a little boost. By that time she had already gave me the shot and told me NOT to take the pills to!!! I could get poisioned from it!!! LOL...I didn't know that nor did I even think about it being harmful! She said maybe I could try taking the shot every 3 weeks rather than 4 weeks but NOT to take the pills. After I left the doctors office I was thinking....Lisa you big dummy!!! You took 2 B-12 pills this morning before the shot!!! I thought I was a dead duck!!! When I got to work I told the dept. mgr what I had done and what the nurse had said. I also told her that if I get sick or die she will know why. It was my own stupidity I know and will not try that anymore!!!
Thought I would let you all know so you don't make the stupid mistake that I made in case you didn't know like I didn't know.

WOW that is scary. Thanks for letting us know. My doc does not do the shots we have always done the under the tongue pills. Never done anything else. I never take anything without checking with him or my nut 1st though. It is good they brought it to your attention though. If you feel better with a moer frequent dose of it you might ask about doing the sublingual dots every day. Hubby did it and he had tons of energy. Just a thought.
Thanks for the info,
Melissa
You go girl!!! Wonder Woman sounds good to me!
when I go a day or two forgetting the b-12 it really does make a difference. That is sooooo important. I am so glad you have a new doc. Maybe the more frequent shots will help. Like I said our surgeon does not do them here he was part of a study that found that the sublingual dots worked better so that is what we do. Who knows. One thing I have learned is all the docs are different. I am glad you did not get sick. That would sooooo not have been fun! WOO HOO for the extra energy though!!!
Hugs,
Melissa
