Thank you Melissa for thinking of us today and starting the thread about Dave's Surgery being today. I appreciate everyone thinking of us and wishing him luck. I can't wait until he gets his "I'm with her" shirt. Hee Hee. We left the house at 6:30am because we were supposed to be here at 8am. His surgery was scheduled for 10am. The surgeon was already running behind, so he didn't go bac****il noon for his surgery. The nurse anesthetist said it would be about 3-4 hours. I don't remember mine taking that long. When he got weighed, he was already down 26 lbs from his pre-op appointment on Feb. 8th. Guess he stuck to the 2 week protein shake diet OK. I'll post more, when I know more. I just can't wait to hear from the surgeon right now. I drank a protein shake on my way in this morning and just had cubed turkey breast and a cheese stick for lunch. I was going to walk to Panera to get a salad, but might wait to do that until later, when he is in recovery. One cool thing the hospital started since my surgery is they now have pagers...like at Red Lobster when you sign in for your table. They are good for up to a 1/4 mile. They page you when the doctor wants to talk to you. How cool is that? I can go to Panera and won't have to worry about missing anything because they will page me back to the desk. OK...I'll quit rambling. Just gonna surf the net until my battery on my laptop dies. I couldn't find a good place to sit and get reception near an outlet. I'll surf a while, then go plug in to recharge and do something else. I did finish my card exchange cards this morning. And it isn't even March yet. LOL... Keep praying for us. Thanks, Tabby

Tabby, I know the feeling they ran way behind of Freds surgery as well. They did not tell his Mom or I though so he just sat back in admissions in his cute hospital gown for a few hours waiting to go in LOL. I am praying for you and Dave. I am praying everything will work out great and he will have a very smooth recovery. Lots of hugs to you, Melissa

Thanks so much for keep us posted. I hope all goes well for Dave today. I know the waiting is terrible but at least with the pager it gives you a little more freedom instead of feeling like you have to sit in the waiting room the entire time. Don't forget to take care of yourself during all of this. Lots of love........Gay
