Good morning everyone. Sorry I'm late. You can give thanks to my fourth grader who decided to take things he NEEDED out of his backpack and then forget to put them back in before going to school. So, I had to come home, get dressed in something DECENT and go back up to the school. But, I'm here now for a quick drive by posting before I head off to start my cleaning for the day. Here is today's list: Normal stuff: 1. Make beds 2. Dishes - breakfast 3. Laundry - wash, dry, fold, put away 4. Quick vac Older boys bedroom - mostly maintenance today 1. Wash sheets and remake beds 2. Wash curtains and rehang 3. Dust Furniture 4. Clean glass table and computer screen 5. Vac 6. Wipe fingerprints from door, wall and switchplates. 7. Spot clean carpet (not maintenance as I didn't do this last week) 8. Clean window - inside AND out (not maintenance) Hallway bathroom - mostly maintenance!!! 1. Scrub tub, toilet and sinks 2. Clean mirror 3. Quick wipe down on cabinet doors (took me FOREVER last week, this week should be fast!) 4. Sweet 5. Mop 6. Wipe fingerprints from walls, door and switchplates. Entryway closet (been trying to do this for 3 days now - today it will be done!) 1. Reorganize the shelf, getting rid of clutter/junk. 2. Go thru shoes, tossing old worn out ones. Reorganize those remaining. 3. Get rid of backpacks no longer being used. 4. Sweep 5. ORGANIZE anything remaining. So...that's my list for today. Shouldn't take as much time as yesterday's cleaning. Hoping I can get outside for my walk today!! Wish me luck. I'll TRY to check in at noon and give a report. But, I may be on the couch exhausted and resting like yesterday. LOL Susan

Well, Susan, after all the heavy moving you did yesterday I didn't think you would be functioning much today. Are all your days this intense or do you take days off or have light days? Today for me will be laundry, the kitchen floor and some sewing. I have some mending to do and then hem a new pair of pants that I got. I too want to do up Kristen's taxes for her. She brought them over yesterday but we did not do them. She wanted to get home to Erin. My two older girls live together not far from here. Well, Erin was home sick and Kris wanted to get home to take care of her. They are characters and take care of each other. Actually Kris is in the medical field and has that mothering instinct and takes care of any and everyone. But I will find things to keep me busy like I usually do....Have a good one everyone........Gay

Hi Gay!! All my days aren't that intense....but I haven't deep cleaned in the 2.5 years since we moved in. It's always looked okay because I did do surface cleaning. But, as we are putting the house on the market, I'm doing a massive deep cleaning to be ready for that and moving. I'm also getting rid of a LOT of stuff (the garbage guys HATE me) prior to moving. Just no reason to move junk, ya know?? I used to go thru and purge twice a year...but when I started working I stopped doing the really intense cleaning. I'm hoping once I get this done, I can go back to my maintenance cleaning and not have to do this again before we move. Wish me luck!!! Hope your daughter is feeling better today! Susan

Using toothpicks to hold up my eyelids today.....my meeting last night lasted until after 10 - then The Boy really wanted to watch American Idol (which he had taped for us)...so it was a late night for sure..... Today: Work 8-5: Since it's somewhat quiet today, I'm working on organizing and cleaning my desk. Lunch: no errends to run and it's above freezing today, I guess that means I need to find my sneakers and take a walk for once? Post work: 1 lesson, this is another "light night" as my student lives about 5 min. away from the office and only does a 1/2 hour lesson. Post lesson: to the drugstore to pick up refills Gym: I'm hoping to fit in a full hour tonight, strength training (I've been slacking on that) and then some light cardio. I have a raging headache today and don't feel like going, but I played hookey on Monday and missed yesterday totally....no excuses tonight. HOME BY 8 is the goal!!!! If I make my goal I should have a few hours to pay attention to some much needed action items at home: 1. never got the Thank you cards done last night. 2. noticed this morning that I need to bag up 1/2 the closet for Goodwill, I have plenty that actually fits, no need to cling to the stuff that is too big anymore.
