Funny for ya!!!
The other day when I went back to work after having two days off and cutting my hair and dying it reddish brown everyone loved my hair. Well, as some of you know I work at Wal-Mart in the Photo Lab. I was at the Kodak Picture Maker helping a customer and one of our crazy Asst. Mgr's walked past. I said, "good morning James!" He stopped and turned around and looked at me funny...then he figured out it was me...lol. He said, "Awwww, it Lisa! I didn't recongize you earlier when I walked past....I thought we had a new associate....Dang girl, you are really looking good. I love your hair! I was getting ready to come over and introduce myself because I thought we had gotten a new associate in photo." I just laughed and so did the other lady working with me because she was standing at the counter and heard what he was saying. We got a good laugh out of that.
Then yesterday evening a friend of my hubby and I was in the store and I was busy packaging pictures and I saw someone in front of me sneaking in front of where I was at the camera bar. I looked up and it was Ed our friend....he said,"I wasn't sure it was you so I was sneaking up to look at your name badge first before I said anything". This cracks me up...is my looks changing that much with only 66 lbs gone??? I know I have slimmed down some and my face is not as fat but this just blows my mind. I am feeling 100% better than I did before surgery so evently it is showing on the outside as well???
Do any of you have people tell you that you are looking alot different??? Or have people that don't recongize you??? I just am finding this really strange and it is hard to get used to but I am laughing about it!!

Oh, is that what you call a WOW moment??? I think you are looking pretty spiffy yourself! I guess I just am not seeing what other people are. It sometimes embarrasses me. I learned just to say "thanks" and leave it at that.

Oh, by the way....I just love my puppy you did for me and I know I have told you but thought I would just remind ya. I can't thank you enough
What wonderful WOW moments Lisa!!! I'll bet it made you feel great too!!!
As for people not recognizing me....yup, I'm having that happen quite often. In fact, when I sent my new pics to Felicia, she didn't recognize me and had to e-mail to make sure those were mine.
And, the lady at GNC didn't recognize me the past two months either!! Of course, I only go in during the beginning of the week when I buy my stuff at the discount....but still! I don't think I've changed that much, but other people do.
In fact, I frequently go visit the hospital where I worked before surgery. People there often walk by me with a confused look like "she looks sort of familiar, but I'm not sure who she is" and then I say something and LOVE to see their reactions. It's wonderful...and makes me laugh!
So, just keep enjoying those moments!!!
And, BTW, you are looking GREAT!!!

Way to go Lisa.. Isn't it great for people not to recoknize you...I went to a high school reunion meeting and the only thing said was you have blonde hair now...funny. What wonderful WOW moments for you and I am with you on not noticing the difference. I love the new pictures everyone has!!! I need to get a new one also...
Hugs,
