weight loss each week or do you just shoot for losing as much as you can? I try and reach 3lbs a week in loss but my motivation is to beat that and try for more. I am almost never disappointed if I lose less then 3lbs but I find this to be a good goal for me to shoot for each week. 9 times out of 10 if I lose only 1 or 2 lbs I am 99% sure its cuz I didn't keep up with something on my plan lol. How about you? Do you work towards a goal loss each week or do you just hope for a loss whatever it maybe? I find I work harder if I put a "challenge" out there for myself. *huggles* Felicia =0)

Howdy! I don't set goals for each week I just try to follow the plan as best I can and shoot for the most I can lose. I am not one who would work harder if I had set my own goal. I just have my long term and medium term goals. They are what is motivating to me. A weekly goal just does not do it for me. Plus you challenge me all the time so I have to keep up with you! My downfall this week has been water/fluid...Odd for me as that is usually what I have no troubles with at all. Just kept forgetting and well you know could make excuses but just plain forgot....no other reason. So weekend has been good and this is a new week right? right! I am glad you have a way to keep yourself going. I think we all have to have that for ourselves. Hugs, Melissa

Hmmmm...interesting idea. But, no I haven't even thought about setting weekly goals. I guess I sort of have one though as I do have a monthly goal of losing at least 10 pounds each month. That was what my surgeon told me was a "reasonable" goal from here on out. Actually, he said 10-15, but I figure if I strive for the lower and sometimes manage to reach the larger one, then I've done what I need to do. Glad you've found a way to make it really work for you. I think it's important that we know ourselves well enough to know what will work to motivate us to do our best. Sounds like you've got that down to a science!!! Keep up the good work!! Susan

Nope, no weekly goals for me. I would get too upset if I didn't meet them. Like this past week I had a stall. That's discouraging enough. I want to be at 182 by April 11th. Guess I have 17 lbs to get there. My stall last week didn't help. I'm sure I didn't do well today, either because I did not get in my water. I kept forgetting it. I was cleaning and putting away clothes and working on my address book and balancing my checkbook and did all of it without my bottle of water beside me. Would have been so easy to get it in if I had kept my water beside me. URGH!!! Glad you are able to challenge youself weekly and are doing so well with it. Hugs, Tabby

At first I did set a goal..and it was the same as yours...3lbs a week. However, I appear to have entered "lightweight land" - at 232 it's coming off much more slowly....so now my goal is to loose something each week. According to fitday I need to loose an average of 3.something lbs per week to reach my next mini goal of 199 by April 28th, it's been dissapointing as these past few weeks I've only been looking 1 -1.5lbs....but I keep thinking I'm due for a big drop soon and at least I'm loosing something.

Nope, no weekly goals. I usually do a goal for each Dr. visit....whether its my PCP or my surgeon. My next dr. appt is with my PCP on March 26....I'd love to be under 175 by then.... Holly

I don't set a weekly goal...just monthly goals. In fact my next goal is to be under my hubby's weight of 184 by May 1...well that gives me 2 months to get off 15 lbs!! So I am hoping to be there... Good luck to you all!! Hugs,
