Fiber question
Been there with not enough fiber. Now I am using FiberSure by Metamucal. It is a powder that is tasteless and you can put it in anything. I usually put it in my morning shake and the one teaspoon is keeping me regular. I have even put it in my water and you can't even tell it is in there. One teaspoon is 25-30 g of fiber. I have seen it at WalMart even. Works for me as I don't get fiber in me at all usually other than this powder.... Good luck. Gay
It's fiber time for me as well. Colace has never seemed to work well for me. I have a chewable fiber supplement (with calcium added) that I use...but not sure where it is (living between two houses is starting to get a little crazy)...I am going to stop on the way home from work tonight to pick up some more.
No, it's calcium carbonate. I still take a carlicum citrate supplement as well...but I haven't read that you can mix forms of calcium and I figure - even if it is not as well absorbed a little extra can't be bad. It was honestly the cheapest fiber chewable I could find on the shelf the day I needed it. I can't even remember what brand it is..and of course, I can't find it in the medicine cabinet now - which makes me think it's back at my apartment, or packed somewhere.
i have a peach at around 5pm most days. or watermelon.
also, a ring of butternut with my chicken or meat meals.
i have recently added provita multigrain biscuits to my plan ... it is a wholewheat biscuit with about 20 calories, and has sasame seeds, wholegrain, etc. i notice i fart a lot since, hehe.
the nut does not want me to use ... i totally forgot what it is called ... ah, senna leaves, etc, cos she says it will make my bowel lazy and then it will depend totally on chemicals instead i must try to find fibre in the food i eat.
