Susie Homemaker - Thursday
Crud, you guys are way too ambitious for me. On a good day I don't tackle that much Susan, much less not feeling good. I got a good bit done yesterday and not all that much to do today. But on the agenda is:
Making up the bed with fresh linens for when Jessi comes home this weekend.
Clean that room good of cat hair, since she has become sensitive to it
Clean the kitchen good
Work on making the dippers for Saturday's fondue
Chiropractor appointment
Grocery shopping, need to make up the list first though
Watch All My Children
Watch American Idol, Grey's Anatomy and ER
Get some exercise in there.
Like I said, not a real productive day probably, but I will be content and always find something to do to keep me busy. Have a good one everyone......Gay
I'm glad you flyladies let us folks that keep our feet on the ground so to speak post their "to do" lists as well.
1. That once a year girlie appointment (done)
2. Work from 9-5 (got here and hour late today due to #1)
Highlight of work day will be a new faster computer...to be installed sometime this afternoon.
3. One piano lesson this evening (it's a light night, and she is only 6 so it is only a 1/2 hour lesson).
4. The gym - I am so sore from last nights workout that I think I am going to just swim or try to get in on the water aerobics class tonight).
5. Grocery shopping
6. Home by 9 - I hope in time to watch Grays Anatomy and ER!
7. Continue with the never ending process of stuffing wedding invitations (sigh - we were working until after midnight on them last night).
8. If I dont find time for a load of laundry in the madness, I will be here sitting at my desk naked tomorrow!
OK...trying to start flying again...
So far today I have ...
1. cleaned the kitchen
2. emptied the dishwasher
3. fixed the kids breakfast and lunch
4. started a load of laundry
5. wet swiffered the kitchen floor
6. wet swiffered the foyer because my daughter squirted a juice box all over the floor
7. picked all of the toys up in the foyer, kitchen, living room, and game room
8. took Meg to the doctor for her two year checkup.
I would also like to...
1. put away all of the kids clothes
2. change the sheets on the kids beds. I did mine yesterday.
3. make something for me and the kids for dinner. But I might just have a piece of Gorton's Grilled Salmon (YUMMO) and make Mac & Cheese for the kids. I want to get dinner over with before hubby gets home since he is on his protein shake diet.
4. I would also like to clean up the bathroom and start my "swish and swipe" tomorrow.
Okay...my update on what I actually accomplished...
Sheets are clean and back on the beds.
Stuffed animals are in a new home (huge basket) in their room - and it looks really cute.
The floor is clean, furniture dusted, handprints are gone.
Didn't have to straighten the dressers. I forgot I've been putting away the clothing and they are fine.
Closet is completely reorganized and lovely.
Skipped the hallway closet. Just didn't feel up to it or have the time.
Made the rest of the beds in the house.
Didn't need to do the quick vac. Dogs haven't been going in and out much today.
Swiffered the kitchen.
Laundry is done - almost. Last load is in dryer now - will fold and put away after dinner....and dinner is easy tonight - we call it "Find your own" which means the two little ones are eating frozen dinners, Matthew is making his own fajitas (meat frozen and premade, he just has to cook the veggies and heat the meat) and the oldest will nuke a pot pie. I'm going to have some fajitas also. Yum!
I did take a nice nap this morning after I ate breakfast. I felt SO much better afterwards. I've decided it's my allergies kicking in that is making me feel so bad. I felt GREAT until I used a certain cleaning product....and got all stuffy again. Needless to say, it is now in the trash and I bought something else to use tomorrow! Plus, the mesquite trees are blooming - and I'm highly allergic to them too..... ICK....
Hope everyone had a great day and finished their lists!! Mine tomorrow is going to be LONG and difficult, I'm afraid. I have 3 closets in my bedroom that need cleaning. YUCK.....Maybe I'll just do one a week....
Susan
You women are my heros!!! I don't clean...haha!! I did do the dishes in the dishwasher, straighten up the kitchen and living room. I have a cleaning lady that comes in every other Thursday and my son wants to earn money so he does the laundry, vacuuming, sweeping, feeding the dogs etc...I guess I am just lazy!! LOL
Hugs,
