QOTD - Wednesday

Good morning everyone!! Here's some fun to get the day started. I'm doing a short version today. Hope no one minds!! 1. If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?? 2. What color is the carpet in your house? Is it the same thru-out or different colors in different rooms? 3. What is your favorite tv cooking show? 4. How often do you wash your car? 5. Do you have house plants? How many? What kinds? Or do you prefer silk arrangements?

Here are my answers! Can't wait to see what everyone else has to say!! 1. If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?? I would be an elm tree - aren't those the ones that are nice and tall with the big branches that kids can build tree houses in? Anyway....if it's not an elm tree, it's the kind for building tree houses in. I think that would be so awesome! I've always wanted a tree in my yard that we could build a treehouse for the boys...But, in South Texas, we have overgrown bushes instead of trees. Seriously, it's soooo windy down here, trees just don't have a chance. My trees are barely taller than my house - and it's only a one story!!!!! 2. What color is the carpet in your house? Is it the same thru-out or different colors in different rooms? My carpet is the color of nicely golden browned toast. LOL That's one way of saying it's that neutral beige color that you see everywhere. I like it though. It goes with any decor/colors. Right now it's in serious need of steam cleaning though. And, it's the same color all thru the house. Does anyone else remember when it was the style to have different colors in all the different rooms of your house?? The floor looked like a patchwork quilt!!! Ahhhh, the 70s..... 3. What is your favorite tv cooking show? Hmmm....I think my absolute favorite is Rachel Ray. I watch her quite frequently. But, I also enjoy watching the others on Food Network. I usually check to see what they are cooking and if it's something I'm interested in, I watch to get new ideas. 4. How often do you wash your car? Not very often. Sometimes I will buy the car wash when I fill up with gas if it's looking really bad. Most of the time, I just have it done when I get the oil changed....They do an awesome job!! 5. Do you have house plants? How many? What kinds? Or do you prefer silk arrangements? I have 4 live plants. All in my living room. 2 are ivy, 1 is a Christmas cactus and 1 a friend gave to me and I have no clue what it is, but it's green and pretty. I have silk arrangements also. I sold Home Interiors and Gifts a few years ago, so I have several to change with the seasons. Only kept my favorites though. Gave the rest to friends. Susan

1) IF YOU WERE A TREE WHAT KIND WOULD YOU BE? I THINK I WOULD BE A SOUTHERN MAGNOLIA. THEY'RE GROW TALL AND STATELY, HAVE LARGE GLOSSY LEAVES AND BEAUTIFUL LARGE WHITE FLOWERS. NO MATTER WHAT THE SEASON THEY'RE ALWAYS COLORFUL, ALWAYS THERE TO BRING CHEER AND PLEASURE TO THE DAY. 2) WHAT COLOR IS YOUR CARPET, IS IT THE SAME THRU OUT THE HOUSE OR DIFFERENT COLORS IN DIFFERENT ROOMS? I HAVE WALL TO WALL MAUVE COLORED CARPET. EVERY ROOM IN THE HOUSE IS THE SAME YES I DO REMEMBER WHEN EACH ROOM OF THE HOUSE HAD A DIFFERENT COLOR CARPET. WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER I HAD A SHAG CARPET IN MY BEDROOM THAT WAS MULTICOLORED, ORANGE, YELLOW, RED AND BROWN. MAN DID I LOVE THAT CARPET. 4) HOW OFTEN DO YOU WASH YOUR CAR? WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THE CAR I WOULD WAS IT EVERY WEEK, SOMETIMES TWICE A WEEK. NOW THAT IT'S 5 YRS OLD THE CAR IS LUCKY IF IT GETS A BATH ONCE A MONTH. 5) DO YOU HAVE HOUSE PLANTS? HOW MANY, WHAT KINDS? PREFER SILK? NO I DON'T PREFER SILK, ALTHOUGH THEY LOOK PRETTY YOU CONSTANTLY HAVE TO DUST THEM AND THAT'S NOT A GOOD ASTHMATIC THINGY. I HAVE 13 LIVE PLANTS. 5 AFRICAN VIOLETS, 4 CHRISTMAS CACTUS, 2 MINIATURE NORFOLK PINES AND 2 ORCIDS.(sp) DONNA, SFY

1. If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?? I think I would want to be a weeping willow tree. They are so pretty!! 2. What color is the carpet in your house? Is it the same thru-out or different colors in different rooms? My kitchen carpet is green (my favorite color!)....my living room is brown and my tv room is gold.....my bedroom is blue.....I'm in desperate need of new carpet, but with the new dog (Lightning) I don't want to invest in new carpet yet, but when I do I would like to have all the same carpet throughout my downstairs except the kitchen! 3. What is your favorite tv cooking show? I don't really watch cooking shows....I do like to watch Martha Stewart every now and then.... 4. How often do you wash your car? That is usually my husband's job, but every now and then I will run it through the car wash -- especially if its really really dirty! 5. Do you have house plants? How many? What kinds? Or do you prefer silk arrangements? I have 3 houseplants....one looks like a palm tree that a friend of mine gave me when her mom passed away about 8 years ago....and the other two I have absolutely no idea what kind they are!! I have one in my kitchen, one in my living room and one in my TV room. I have a spider plant too that I was pretty much killing so I took it to the office I used to work at and the girls there are taking care of it for me and its gorgeous!! The office has all sorts of big windows and the plant loves it!! The girls always show it to me when I stop by to visit! LOL.... Holly

Currently its an almost white (very light multi tone tans) Berber. Yes its through the whole house. Eventually will be replaced with hardwoods that will be different colors in every room. 3. What is your favorite tv cooking show? RACHEL RAYYYYYYY any thing she has lol. 4. How often do you wash your car? I don't lol but in the winter not so often but in the spring summer and fall he washes them at least once a week. 5. Do you have house plants? How many? What kinds? Or do you prefer silk arrangements? YES YES YES I am a PLANT FREAK!!! There is not a single room in my house that doesn't have a plant (live) in it. Ok one bathroom does but there is no window in there lololol. If there is a flat spot there is a plant on it. Hubby got me a second Aero Garden ( http://aerogrow.com ) for Valentines day so I even have tomatoes growing now!!! Such fun!! Thanks so much Susan!!! *huggles* Felicia =0)

Here goes: 1. If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?? I would be a Christmas tree. They bring out the love in everyone and make people smile all the time. 2. What color is the carpet in your house? Is it the same thru-out or different colors in different rooms? Bought back in the 70's my carpet is the old gold. We are hoping to replace it but are in the proccess of remodeling and want to get the new areas done and then replace it all at once. Then the bedrooms are all different. We gave the girls the option of decorating their own rooms when we built the rooms and they chose the colors for them. 3. What is your favorite tv cooking show? I love Paula Dean. So down to earth and easy recipes. 4. How often do you wash your car? Yeah right, not too often since Joe has to drive through a dirt parking lot daily and it never looks clean, so why do it. 5. Do you have house plants? How many? What kinds? Or do you prefer silk arrangements? I have both live and silk. At least one live in each room and then I have a few silk arrangements around too. Then come spring and summer the front porch is covered with the hanging baskets. Love plants......

1. If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?? Maple - strong and sturdy with sweet stuff running through me! 2. What color is the carpet in your house? Is it the same thru-out or different colors in different rooms? Well, my te*****al house (apartment..which I havent really stayed in since October) has hardwood floors throughout, I have an off white area rug in the living room, a sage green area rug in the dressing room and a yellow rug in the bedroom...my soon to be official home (The Boy's Place) and where I really live most of the time anyway has wall to wall beige carpeting. 3. What is your favorite tv cooking show? Paula Deens Party..on Saturday nights, she has a good time! I also like Rachael Ray's 30 Minute Meals....I loved her talk show while I was home recovering from surgery - but I don't get to watch it anymore. 4. How often do you wash your car? You're supposed to wash your car? LOL..the boy took my car and detailed it himself while I was in the hospital after surgery. It hasnt been washed since. 5. Do you have house plants? How many? What kinds? Or do you prefer silk arrangements? I have some dead houseplants back at my apartment...they were alive in October - but I guess after neglecting them for a few months... The Boy has one live plant..I guess it is technically mine as it ws given to me at a brunch we went to, it's something with small red flowers on it.

How often do you wash your car?haaahaa...good question, My car gets washed when people beg me to by writing "wash me please" somewhere on the vehicle. I am so pathetic when it comes to the car. 5. I have a few spider plants since they seem like the only thing I can't destroy. I don't particularly care for silk arrangements.

I have hunter green in the living room its so ugly my doughters room had navy blue and my bedroom and the hallway have this grayish colored berber stuff that needs cleaned pretty bad 3. I love all the cooking shows paula dean is good rachael ray i really like oh and those cook off challenges specially the week long chocolate specials they just did 4. Well I had lots of plants and i neglected them all and left them outside and they all froze now they are dead oh well I might start again I do good in the summer then it gets cold and i kill them all I like silk but they get dusty in my house and im not all about dusting
