Next Step... Gastrologist

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that I got my referral today from my surgeon to see the Gastrologist. So I called.. and the next appointment they have is MARCH 8th????? I explained to them what the issue is and they said if it gets real bad, go to the ER.. My goodness. All I want to do is eat a stupid piece of meat!!! . I took the appointment.. I wonder how long till I actually have the procedure? Well, I guess the good thing is that I have lost 18 lbs this month. The most I have lost since the first 2 weeks.. Wish I had Deanne Doc. Oh wow Tiff!! I am sorry that you have to wait until March 8th. I would call them back and ask if it is for the scope or just an appt. That is way to long to have to deal with this. I am here is you need to talk!!! Hugs~~ Deanne

Deanne, That is just for the first appointment. then they will schedule the scope.. They did have an appointment for the 1st but that is when I will be gone for my work thing.. So the next one was a week later.. I guess it is my fault?? Thanks for the support.. Luvs and hugs! Tiff

Good grief!!! That's entirely too long to have to wait with the problems you are having!!! Is there any other doc you can go to? And, do they have a list you can get on so they can call you if there is a cancellation??? *hugs* Hoping you get some resolution soon... Susan

Holey moley tiffany, no appt. Till March? And then just for a consult?Then you have to wait to see when they can schedule you to get scoped? Oh honey, what a pain in the tucus. Do they realize what type of surgery you had and how little you eat? Yeah, it's great that you've lost that weight but what a way to lose it. I would try to call them and see if they can squeeze you in at an earlier date. It never hurts to be persistant. Donna, sfy

Oh my Tiff!!! That sure sounds like a long time to have to wait. What do they want you to do starve to death??? I don't do meat very good at all...only chicken but I have problems sometimes with that. I just have to remember to chew not inhale my food!!! I wish you luck! Maybe you can ask your doctor to refer you to another Gastrologist? You have plenty of time to cancel that appt. if you are not comfortable with it...I know I would. Best of luck Lisa S.

Oh sweetie....I feel so bad for you. I would def go to the ER if it gets even the slightest bit worse. The weight loss is great I agree but not since you are in such pain. I would def ask about another DR. Maybe call the surgeons office back and tell them to reccomend someone else that this office is not satisfactory. Or call your insurance and see if there is anyone else who is approved. Gosh I just feel for you girl. Chin up...I will keep prayin for ya. Big hugs, Melissa

OH NO...TIFF!!! That can't be. I hate to say this, but YOUR INSURANCE SUCKS!!!! I just can't believe the hoops you have to jump through to get taken care of. My surgeon would have had me in the office the next day and done the scope. This is getting ridiculous!!! ((((whispers....I am jealous that you lost 18 lbs last month)))) I hope that you can get taken care of sooner than that. What does your surgeon say about this?
