Update on Bleeding Issue

Hi everyone, First I wanted to thank everyone for their replies. I read each and every one of them. I called the Dr that day and she said I would be fine till tuesday, which is today. I went and saw her, and she said that since I am on the Depo shot and have been losing weight really fast, that my hormones are probably out of whack. Also she gave me a paper to go get lab work to check on thyroid levels and what not. I am also starting on a Once a week estrogen patch. She said to check if that helps. If not I will have to start on birth control pills. She said I may have this problem till I stabelize my weight. I find it funny how the depo shot took my periods away completly, and now its making me bleed! lol Thanks everyone for listening and caring. Take care, Shannon

Shannon, My heart goes out to you. I hope you find something that works for you. I have been on birth control pills and had no problems...well almost but I will not go into that..just know they are not 100% if ya get my drift. But I have had regular cycles and everything has been fine in that departments. Maybe those will work best for you. I just hope you find something that works. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Shannon, I know this is making you crazy. But listen to the doctor, you body is going through so many changes right now. There are so many options out there for you and your doctor is the best one to make these adjustments w/ your bith control issue. We're all here for you. Good luck, donna, sfy

Shannon, Thanks for the update!! I've been wondering how you are doing. First of all, thank goodness it wasn't serious!! However, it stinks that the depo shot and weight loss have combined to make your periods come back. I hope the patch will help so you don't have to worry about taking pills too.
