Sorry I missed yesterday - "The Boy" decided to work at home due to the weather so I couldn't jump on the 'puter all that much. Protein: so far - 44, plans for 24 more. Menu: B: Leftover blackbean and chicken soup with cheese...GOOOOOOOOOD STUFFF S: 1 cup of sugar free / decaf International Foods French Vanilla Cafe (yum) L: 3oz chicken (TGIFridays Dragonfire Chicken...which had peppers, onions, tomatoes, pineapple and a spicy sauce on it) and a few bites of broccoli S: NSA Tapioca pudding - skipped adding protein powder as I'm doing well with protein today. Pre pianolesson / water aerobics snack: light string cheese D: (late) the meat from some leftover stew and a few bites of peas and carrots. Water: 50oz so far, with 40 more planned. Workout: I was a slug yesterday my stomach muscles still hurt from the pilates I did on Tuesday....tonight, if I get to the gym early enough I may do some cardio before my water aerobics class.

Can I beg for the recipe for the blackbean and chicken soup? It sounds wonderful and I'm always on the lookout for a new soup. I can tolerate those SOOO well!!! We won't discuss my numbers today....I've not done well with food...as in I've barely eaten. I've barely had anything to drink too....I've been sleeping most of the day. Oh well....since I slept so much during the day I'll probably be up late tonight and can get my fluids in then. Susan

I should say it's more like Sandra Lee in that it is "semi-homemade"... I started with a package of black bean soup mix from Tastefully Simple. It had been sitting in the cabinet and it was so cooooooold and snowy it seemed like soup was a good idea. 1st I tossed some garlic and chopped onions into the pot w/ some EVOO to let them "sweat up" a little. Then I mixed the soup according to package directions. While the soup was simmering I added: The rest of the chicken picked off the bone from a rotiserrie chicken we had ealier in the week. 1 can diced tomatoes 1 can kidney beans 4 tablespoons hot sauce 5 Tastefully Simple Seasoning Salt I let it simmer for about and hour and that was that.

Well, actually "The Boy" is the blog nickname I gave my boyfriend / now fiance many years ago when I started an online journal. It's even funnier when you realize that he is actually 7 years older than me.
