SIPPER OR GULPER

Definitely a GULPER!! I struggled so much with even sipping water after surgery, that when the day came tha****er didn't upset my tummy, I started to gulp it down and haven't stopped! I like plain water, or sometimes I will use the Cystal Light sunrise classic orange. It tastes just like Tang!

Heather, gulpers rule. The survey is in and we have about an even amount of both gulpers and sippers. If you get a chance try one of the walmart brand sugar free drinks and you'll never go back. Donna, sfy

I tend to sip most of the time, if I gulp then I get a really sick feeling to my stomach. I drink a ton of water and I like the WalMart little packets, too!! Especially the peach tea and the limeade! Holly

Holly, sippers or gulpers, I guess it doesn't really matter as long as we get in all the fluids we're supposed to. I've tried the peach tea and wasn't thrilled w/ it. Donna, sfy

Depends on what I'm drinking and how thirsty I am. If it's hot, I'm sipping. Don't like that burned mouth feeling. If it's cold, I tend to gulp it down. I like to get thru the 64 oz as quick as possible. Speaking of which...I need to go get something to drink. I'm way behind for the day. Wow. I didn't know you were a Labor and Delivery/Newborn Nursery nurse!! Too cool! Those have always been my favorite nurses!! Guess because those were happy times for me. What a cool job. BTW, glad to hear the baby is doing well this morning. Must have been all the great nursing she received yesterday. Susan

HEY SUSAN, IT SEEMS AS IF WE HAVE ALMOST AN EVEN MIXTURE OF SIPPERS AND GULPERS. ALL THE GULPERS SAY THE SAME THING, WE TEND TO GET, OR TRY TO GET THE 64 OUNCES DOWN AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE. YEAH IT IS A COOL JOB. HOW MUCH BETTER CAN YOU GET THAN "PLAYING W/ BABIES ALL DAY." NOT MANY PEOPLE CAN SAY THEY LOOK FORWARD TO GOING INTO WORK, BUT I CAN. YEAH, THE BABY IS DOING GREAT NOW, SHE STILL HAS THE IV'S GOING AND WILL MORE THAN LIKELY WILL CON'T TO HAVE THEM FOR AWHILE BUT IF THAT'S ALL THEN THAT'S GREAT. I DID FIND OUT ONE MORE THING THIS AFTERNOON THOUGH, THEY DID A URINE ON HER AND SHE'S + FOR COKE. SO NOW WE'LL HAVE LEGAL ISSUES TO DEAL WITH. IT JUST MAKES ME CRAZY WHEN A MOTHER THINKS ONLY OF HERSELF AND HER HABIT WHILE SHE'S PREGNANT AND THE BABY IS AN AFTER THOUGHT. OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! DONNA, SFY

Hey there I am sipper / gulper, depends on the drink. You folks have so many choices in the States. We are so limited here. We can get Crystal Ice but none of the Walmart Flavours and the cherry limeade sounds like something I would love. I had a horrible time drinking for so long. Nothing seem to go down well, not hot, medium or cold. It was horrible. I was really dehydrated. My skin was snakey. I didn't even realized that the problem had stopped, lol. My favourite drink is hot or iced tea. Tara

Hey tara, every one seem to be on the same page, a collections of sippers and gulpers. I've been to ontario numerous times so I know there are walmarts there. Look in the section where you get the crystal light, then look on the first or second shelf down. That's where I get it. If you can't find it let me know and I'll send you a couple of packets. Donna, I would swear I was reading about myself when you wrote. I too use the 16 oz. bottle to drink from. It goes from room to room with me and wherever I go. I think I am a gulper too. I take a big swig of the liquid and hold it in my mouth and then swallow it slowly. Actually I just recently realized how often I do that. Sipping would take forever to finish our liquid intake for the day. Those WalMart packets are great. I love all of the flavors. Then I like the Crystal Lights. So for me it is 12 oz shake in the morning that I sip over a period of time that I am on here in the morning. Then I have water the majority of the time and then 16 oz bottle of a flavored drink. It is crazy how I used to see people with drinks with them all the time, on the end table, wherever they were. I never did that before. Just would drink from an aluminum cup at the sink. Now, I always have liquid with me and have not trouble getting at least 100 oz. in a day. As long as it does not bother our stomach, is it okay now to be gulping now? I didn't know if we were to sip the rest of our life or just right after surgery. I don't think I will ever guzzle again, but I am comfortable with gulping now. HEY GAY, WHAT A HAPPY NAME. I HAVE SUCH A SICK MIND. MAYBE THAT'S WHY THEY PUT ME WITH THE BABIES. BUT I LOVE YOUR NAME. IT SEEMS LIKE ALOT OF US USE THE 16oz BOTTLES. LIKE YOU SAID, IT'S EASY TO CARRY FROM ROOM TO ROOM. I'VE EVEN FOUND A COUPE OF BOTTLES THE NEXT MORNING THAT I FORGOT TO PICK UP THE NIGHT BEFORE. 100oz? AMAZING, I'M LUCKING WHEN I GET 64oz IN. TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY, 71.6oz WE SEEM TO HAVE AN EVEN AMOUNT OF SIPPERS AND GULPERS. I'VE NEVER BEEN TOLD NOT TO GULP AND EVERYONE ELSE SEEM FINE W/ IT. SO I SAY CONTINUE TO GULP AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T HURT. DONNA, SFY
