When stuck food is funny
Ok, no one else may find this funny....
Thursday night I was still fighting the sinus infection - so low on energy and yet my appetite was back full force.
We got home late because my car ws being a pain and we had it at Pep Boys trying to see if we coudl determine what was wrong.
The boy and I were both hungry, and I needed to go to the grocery store as I was running low on basics. We decided to pick up a rotisserie chicken for dinner. At home he made a big salad for himself and cut off a leg and thigh. I cut off a tiny bit of the moist breast meat (never a problem for me) and heated up a few broccoli florets for my dinner.
It was sooo goood, so moist, so satisfying. I forgot to use my fork, I forgot to use my knife. I was tearing off bits and eating away and then ate a piece of broccoli and realized...woah, that was too big....
Sure 'nuff......about 2 min. later the stabbing chest pain began, a winced. The boy (who has never experienced a stuck food attack) looked at me, concerned.
I looked at him and smiled through the pain and said "now dear, don't panic, but the chicken is stuck."
He panicked and said "what do we do?"
I said "WE don't do anything.....I am now going to go into the bathroom and barf my brains out....when I come out, I will feel much better and be happy."
And so I did. After about 5 minutes I returned from the bathroom, cleaned up the kitchen and sat down on the couch as if nothing had happend.
The boy just looked at me, shook his head, and laughed.
It happens, we will survive, no sense making a big deal out of, right?
LMAOOO I am not laughing at you but with you. I SOOOOOOOOOO KNOW YOUR PAIN!! Poor hubby is always so helpless at those times. I tell him there is nothing I can do but get it OUT!! Funny thing is that onces its out I am just peachy fine. But MAN till its out you would think we were going to die lol. I swear some days I know what a heart attack must feel like lolol.
Sorry to hear that you had do to "the deed" but glad you can see the humor.
*big huggles*
Felicia =0)
*hugs* Ummmm....well, hate to say it, but I'm laughing along WITH you too Patricia!!
Have to admit I've had the same type thing happen....and you're right, the ONLY way to make it better is to make it go bye bye!!
Glad to see you were able to smile about it all. And, you're right. It happens, we will survive and no sense making a big deal out of it.

You are too funny Patricia!! But I've had that feeling, just once, in the early early days, and never want to go back there again!!
Today I took a 'risk' though... I have been opening up my calcium capsules and mixing it into my morning shake or yogurt, because they are just tooooo big. But today, I figured, I can't keep mixing this crap forever, let me see if I'm ready to swallow.... I was scared, since I was at work, that I'd have to go puke it up or get those stuck pains... nothing! All was good! I'm so excited, no more mixing it into my foods!! Maybe soon I can get off my chewable Centrum to the swallowable kind!
So glad your episode wasn't too painful for you!
YUPPERS!!! That is a BAD feeling!!!!!!! I did something stupid this morning. Last night since the weather was ruff and I had a house full I decided to make cinn. buns for everyone. They were the type you get in the pop open cans. I bought 2 of the regular kind and one can of sugar free for me. Last night I ate 2 of them and when I got up this morning I heated one up in the microwave to have with coffee. I do not know what happened but after I ate it I could tell it was stuck or blowing up in my pouch or something. All I knew is that it was time to go to the bathroom and Not much of it came up but it was enought to make me feel better. I told my husband and kids that they could have the rest of them....I didn't want NO part of them! That upsets me because I loved cinn rolls and I have found one that was SF and now I can't even eat that!!! Oh, well guess I wasn't supposed to have it anyway
