THANKS FOR THE RESPONSES
HEY LADIES,
I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANKS TO EVERYONE *****SPONDED TO MY QUESTION ABOUT COLD CEREAL. IT'S AMAZING HOW DIFFERENT WE ALL REACT TO SOME OF THE SAME THINGS IN OUR DIET. SO MANY PEOPLE ARE NO LACTOSE INTOLERANT THAT WEREN'T BEFORE THIS SURGERY. I FOR ONE HAVE NOT BECOME LACTOSE INTOLERANT AND STILL DRINK 2% MILK ALTHOUGH I KNOW I SHOULD BE DRINKING SKIM.
THANKS FOR ALL THE SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT YOU EAT. I WENT OUT AND BOUGHT THE SPECIAL K W/ PROTEIN BUT HAVE NOT TRIED IT YET, MAYBE TOMORROW W/ SOME FROZEN BLUEBERRIES OR STRAWBERRIES.
HAVE A GREAT DAY,
DONNA, SFY
You're welcome, Donna. Hope you like it. As far as the milk goes, check out the milk section in your grocery store. Different brand have skim milk that are altered to have the consistancy and taste of 2% milk. I NEVER Liked skim milk because it was like pouring water on my cereal. I buy one called Super Skim. I use it on my cereal and make my protein shakes with it and even freeze it in ice cube trays to use in my protein shakes. I buy it by the gallon. My son even drinks it when I make chocolate milk for him.
Hope you can find something you like.
Hugs,
Tabby
Angela,
so sorry to hear you're lactose intolerant. Has this always been the case or just after surgery. I'm amazed how many people have become lactose intolerant after surgery. Even after all these years of being a nurse the human body still amazes me. Isn't it a wonderful and confusing thing?
