Do you make short term weight loss goals for yourself? If yes, what are they and how do you decide what will be your next goal? If no, why not? *huggles* Felicia =0)

I have a monthly goal of a loss of 12lbs. At that rate I will be at goal by Christmas of this year and that is exactly what I plan on doing lol. May die trying but I will get there lol, I will go into 2008 not having to deal with this weight loss crap ruling my life!!! Right now I am averaging about 20lbs per month since September. I also like to keep track of smaller goals like how many pounds I have to go till my BMI changes again ( I am 3lbs shy of dropping another point). *huggles* Felicia =0)

My short time goal right now is to be under 200 lbs by February 14th...well I don't think that will happen..so instead of beating myself up over it...the new date is February 27th which is my BIRTHDAY!! Then I would like to loose 10 lbs a month at least..I would like to weigh less then my hubby by May 1...so that is it for now. WHEW>>> Hugs,

I do this!! I met my first "mini goal" which was to be under 200 by New Years. My second was to be at 174 by Valentine's Day. At that point I'll be merely "overweight". Well, it's not going to happen. I've been stuck at 180 all this week. So, I've changed the date to the end of the month. Probably more realistic. I knew that when I set the goal at first, but was hoping because I was on a losing streak. Forgot about stalls. LOL After that, I'll probably set my goals in increments of BMI until I reach my ultimate goal.....I think. Will have to see what happens. May do 10 pound goals instead until reaching my final goal. Depends....on my mood more than anything else. Susan

I have not as of yet. Not a new one that is. I hit my last goal (I will tell everyone tomorrow morning!) Now it is time for a new one. I have never been much of a goal person. Time to change that one too! I think I like the idea of 10 lb incriments. That sounds like a great idea. That is motivating. My next BIG goal I have though is to see the 100lb loss. I need to work on setting short term goals though. Will have to think about that one! Hugs, Melissa

I started to make short term weight loss goals, but I find it works against me...like Poison! It's too much like diet thinking and that's something I don't want to have in my life any more. My goals are good health and happiness. Lisa

Yeah, I do set short term goals. I wanted to be in onederland by Valentine's Day, but I have hit a couple of stalls since the first of the year and don't know if I can do it. I was 203.5 this morning. URGH!!! Maybe by the end of the week. After that, I would like to hit 100 lbs lost by my 6 month anniversary. Got some work to do. I might have to check out the BMI chart and make some kind of short term goal to get to the "overweight" catagory. Guess that is 191. Perhaps by the first of March. Yep, I like short term goals. Keeps me on track.

I do make short term goals. At first they were simple.. twoterville - came home from the hospital with that goal reached 280 - reached 1 week post op -50 lbs - reached that sometime in December -75lbs - reached that in Januaryish Next Goal: -199 by April 28, 2007 (36lbs to go!) I made my initial goals based on typical weightloss goals. My next mini-goal is the same way - but I made the deadline based on the fact that April 28th will be my wedding day - and what a wonderful way to celebrate....in ONEDERLAND!

Yes, I do. I see my PCP for a checkup on March 26 and I would like to be 170 lbs. by then. I am about 180-183 right now...depends on which scale I get on! I don't know if I really have a reason why I pick a particular goal.... Holly
