I came across this and wanted to share. What a great outlook to have. No matter what happens there is always a bright side! I am not sure where it came from so I can not give the proper credit. Enjoy! Attitude There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today?" So she did and she had a wonderful day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "H-M-M," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today?" So she did And she had a grand day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. "Well," she said, "today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So she did. And she had a fun, fun day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. "YEA!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!" Attitude is everything. Be kinder than necessary, For everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly....... Leave the rest to God Hugs, Melissa

Melissa, thanks for the reminder. My mother has just finished her first round of chemo therapy for lung cancer and has lost most of her hair. She has had the same kind of outlook about her hair as your writting. I've tried to take the same attitude w/ the weight I'VE lost so far and the weight I still have to lose. BUT AS YOU KNOW IT'S HARD. The spirit is will but sometimes the flesh is weak. Donna, sfy

Donna, I wish I could take credit for it but as I said I do not know where it originated so I can not give proper credit. This really hits home with me as my husband and I have had a rough year including the loss of my brother to cancer in October. He always had a great attitude right up to the end. As he looked at it if he lost his hair that was nothing. I am sure he looked at it as pride that he was fighting a great battle. I now look at my weight loss and any pain I am going through and try to remind myself that no matter how hard things are for me I know there is someone struggling more than i can imagine. I wish you are you mother the best of luck. If you need anything know I am here to listen. They have made great strides in the war against cancer and I know she will fight hard and WIN! Hugs to you, Melissa
