I have zippo advice for you as I am a "boring eater" lol. Frankly it doesn't bother me much. I just don't think about food enough anymore to make it work "fixing something new". On occasion I throw in something I haven't had in a while and I do try every Friday night to order something "new" but other then that its pretty much the same foods all the time. My staples are :: Cottage cheese - Full fat.. low fat is nasty. Real Bacon Bits - to die for and so simple lots less mess then cooking it yourself lol. TONS of herbs. I eat fresh herbs on everything I can put them on. Chicken Thighs - Breast meat gives me problems but thigh meat goes down super well. I marinate it in different things all the time and grill it up. Fresh Veggies - I have carrots and snap peas for satisfying my "crunch need". I also eat a lot of tomatoes and avocados. Roasted Red Pepper from the jar - YUMO these go in and on everything also. Great flavor. Stir Fry Veggie mix - I find that I can eat just about any veggie as long as its cooked. I eat a lot of veggies. Pro Complex Chocolate shakes - I am a firm believer in this mix. If you have tried protein shakes and you just "cant tolerate" them you haven't tried this one. Its as smooth as chocolate milk, not very sweet and easy on even the grouchiest pouches. I also supplement off and on with new Whey Vials. Not often though, they are more for "taking with me" type things. I avoid protein bars like the plague. I also eat a lot of tilapia and shrimp. If it can be fixed I have done it with these two ingredients. I do not eat anything with white sugar or flour in it. I don't eat bread, pasta, rice etc.. things like that as I am a sever carbaholic and choose to avoid them. On a rare occasion I will have a bite of someones chip or for example I had a bite of the panini sandwich I made for the guys but frankly it wasn't to my taste and will not have another. For the most part I avoid all snack foods of any kind. Snacking for me between meals leads to grazing so I just don't do it. Lastly I try to stick to foods that do not come out of a box. I will always be a boring eater lol. I really just don't spend the time caring anymore about what I am eating. I plug in, in the morning what I will be eating to verify that I am sticking to my 90g of protein and then thats about the last I think of it lol. If its fast, easy and simple it goes in the tummy. The more I have to "prepare it" the less I eat it lol. I am a planner though. I cook pretty much only twice a week for the full week. Don't know if any of that helped but I wish you luck with spicing up your eating. Personally I think you are eating quite a variety of foods =) *huggles* Felicia =0)

FELICIA, THANKS FOR THE REPLY. AFTER READING YOUR POST I SEE I'M EATING ABOUT THE SAME AS YOU W/ THE EXCEPTION OF THE PROTEIN SHAKE AND THE TALAPIA (yuck). WHERE DO YOU BUY THE PRO COMPLEX SHAKE AND CAN YOU BUY A SAMPLE?THIS WAY IF I DON'T LIKE IT OR CAN'T TOLERATE IT I WON'T HAVE WASTED A LOT OF MONEY AS I HAVE IN THE PAST. THANKD FOR THE HELP. I get samples from http://www.vitalady.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=4310 I am sure you can get them other places but that is where I get them. I do not buy the full sized from her though since you can get it cheaper at various other sites online. Be sure to click on her nutrition information link to learn about whats in it. =) The chocolate is the flavor I like. Its very mellow. Best part is you can mix a full scoop in as little as a half cup of milk and its perfect! (would be about 31g of protein mixed this way). So you don't have to feel like you have to down a huge glass of it. My son thinks its chocolate milk. I don't like it in water but it does mix super well with water. No need for a blender if you don't want since I have never had a problem just using a shaker to mix it up. Good luck to you!! Felicia =0)

Donna, I too am bored with food, majorly!! I can not do the shakes at all they make be want to also. I can't do fish either not even shrimp. My typical day is as follows: B: Protein Bar or slice of bologna with cheese very small about the size of my palm with a egg sometimes. L: Usually a hamburger about 1/3 of a patty the size of my palm or 1/4 cup of chicken. Maybe a might of veggies depends, I concentrate on protein first. D: 1/4 cup of chicken or hamburger, sometimes Manwhich type or taco seasoned. S: Maybe a protein bar I drink all day long about 64 to 70 oz of fluid. I love my sweet tea as everyone knows but I am working on that. I exercise 4-5 days a week between cardio and weights. I absolutely get my vitamins in everyday...first thing I do every morning. I have lost 61 lbs and haven't moved in about a week. I have talked to my NUT and she states that my body is bored and I need to add different things which I do here and there but nothing spectacular, she also says no sweet tea. We need to try different things. I stay away from carbs, breads, pasta and such. My pouch says no way... If you need anything let me know. Hugs,

Donna... Hmmmm....I can't think of anything I eat that's different from what everyone else has already said, or that you are already eating. I think (and HOPE!!!!) that as we get farther along that we will be able to eat more and different things. OH...the one thing that I just remembered is fajita meat. Our local grocery carries pre-cooked, frozen beef and chicken fajita meat. High protein, low fat and low carb for 3 oz of meat. I will saute it with some onion and peppers (not much of each, just enough to get the good fajita taste) and then eat it without the tortilla or other fixings. It's yummy and gives me a break from the other foods. I also eat shrimp. I buy the pre-cooked, frozen shrimp so I can fix lunch with it quickly. Oh...and soups. I eat a variety of these too. Main ones are bean soup, chili, taco soup, veggie beef, veggie chicken....these have lots of protein and are generally good on calories, fats and carbs - especially if they are homemade. That way you can control what goes in. Hope this helped! Susan

I am such a boring eater, too, Donna. I find myself not even wanting to eat because nothing is appealing or sits right. Ugh! Glad I'm not the only one. I might even be more boring than your menu! Cheer up! Sorry I can't offer you any advice!

I use a lot of herbs and spices, to perk things up. And there are plenty of sauces, too, that are lower in carbs and fat, though you'd want to watch if you have sodium issues. I use tarragon on just about anything; it's such a beautiful herb. Soy sauce, soy-ginger sauce, teriyaki, hoisin...I've been trying different sorts of mustards too...mustard mixed with low fat mayo makes a nice (egg, tuna, chicken) salad base. I just bought some gravies, regular store brands, in jars, that have only 1g fat and no sugar per serving. Today I am mixing ground meat, onion, and peas in beef gravy, and having it with instant mashed potatoes (no butter or cream, of course). I still have a hard time with solid meats, but can eat ground beef, beef ribs as long as they are falling-off-the-bone tender, sometimes finely cut poultry...and I love tilapia. Have you tried different fish lately? Sometimes our tastes change. Personally, I grew up on Mrs. Paul's fish sticks and fish cakes and occasionally the frozen over-cooked flounder, and I thought I hated fish! I've been trying different fish over the last few years; Whole Foods will sell me little pieces, so I can try new things. I can eat most any soups and I do. I can eat cheese again, thank goodness, but still not melted. If I get something with bread, I usually only eat a few tiny nibbles of the bread. But I do well with crackers...so well that I have to be very careful not to over do them. I just bought Special K bars - most of these have too much sugar, but I found Vanilla Crisp has 7g sugar per bar, which is acceptable. It took care of the sweet and the crunchy thing. Very good. I also eat the sugar free Popsicles, no sugar added Fudgsicles, and I just got these no sugar added Sweet Freedom ice cream bars from Blue Bunny, which are really nice. And sometimes I have no taste for anything at all. I'm trying to use that to my advantage, to learn to take food as nourishment and nothing more. A friend once tried to persuade me to eat lentils and when I said I wasn't crazy about them, he said, "So what? You're eating them because they're good food, not for pleasure." Another time, at a wine and food pairing, the instructor said something similar when people balked at eating these anchovy-like things..."Don't worry about liking it! Just eat it!" I guess it's part of shifting how we look at food...it's not a friend and it's not an enemy...it's just nourishment.
