OK - HERE'S MY GOAL!
I've been feeling really ****ty about my weight loss for a few weeks now. And I've finally figured out why: I set a weight/date goal! I very deliberately did not make weight loss goals part of my new years resolutions, then I turned around a couple weeks later and succumbed to the same sick thinking that got me to 300 pounds to begin with! And there's no way in hell I'm going to make the goal I set and for that, I have felt like a failure.
Is it possible to kick one's own ass, or do I need to lose a few more pounds yet to try that?
So...back to basics...here's my fracking goal: for 2007, and forever after, I will treat my body like the precious gift that it is. I will eat the right foods. I will exercise in some way every day. And I will celebrate my good health every step of the way.
Whew...that felt good...

Hi Lisa...
Well, they say the road to recovery is admitting you have a problem. So, if setting weight loss goals and not making them makes you feel bad, for goodness sake, don't do it!!
However, I do love the new goals you've set for yourself. Especially to "treat my body like the precious gift that it is." You go girl!!
