Update on my son's surgery
Hello everyone. Sorry that I haven't been on much lately. I have been so busy. I didn't even make a post that my son, Joshua, was having the WLS. I am so bad. Anyway..
His surgery was on 1/30/07. We came home last night. He is doing great. He is a little sore, but that is to be expected. He is on my friends list, you should check out his page. I am really proud of him taking this step to improve his health and his quality of life at such a young age. He is 18. I hope that he does really well with the surgery. He has wanted this longer than I did. As a matter of fact, it was Josh that encouraged me to have the surgery when I was having doubts about it. He is a sweet kid. I just wanted to share the good news with everyone!

I am Rhonda - I wanted to let you know that my son also had WLS - when he turned 16- which was 3 yrs ago-- he has done great -at his heaviest he was 421 and is now a happy, good- looking 195 lbs.. He says it was the best thing he has ever done- it definately changed his life.. I hope your son does just as well- I'm sure he will- hopefully I will be on here more- I'm am kinda new to this - I myself had WLS 10/02/2006--and am so thankful I did.. My son was a big inspiration for me.. Anyway just wanted to wish Josh the best--good luck, Rhonda

) He is taking control of his health at a young age as you have to admire a person for that. Keep us posted on how he is doing.
