Hi Deanne
Since the op my period has gone clockwork 28 days and very heavy, over shorter time.
maybe your 'plumbing' just needs some clearing out by the gynae
by the way, thanks guys for posting. i have turned into a lurker ... i find the site takes so long to load for me to still past comments. your progress pics have inspired me, and your day to day quips have made me realise that i am not alone
have a great day!

I am lucky....I cheated mother nature by having my hysterectomy Dec. 2003. I must say that it was the second best surgery that I could have ever had...WLS being the #1! I do know I gained alot of weight after the hysterectomy but thank GOD I had WLS to counter act that problem...hehehehe.
I bet this surgery would mess with horomones and get your system out of wack. The pill may help alot. I can still tell when I would have been on my peroid because I can get the munchies which I have to watch very closely. I try munching on good things or things with lots of protein.
See your doctor, I am sure he will have something to straighten you out.
Good luck,
Lisa S.
When I was 18 I went on birth control because I was getting my period every 2 weeks. I went on the Depo shot at 20 and didnt get a period for 5 years...bliss. Then January 2006 I went off of that anticipating starting a family within the next 18 months....no period...at all, nothing, nada. I had my WLS on 10/27 and got my period on Halloween. 4days and it was gone. End of November I got it again, 5 days and done....then it came back the next week and lasted 14 days!!! Yup fourteen! no fun! Since then its been clockwork so I think I just needed to flush out and relearn.
Give it some time and if it doesn't work itself out then go see your gyno.
