Question Of The Day
I think about it in the morning when I hit the bathroom and jump on the scale.
I think about it an hour later when I am mentally figuring out my menu plan for the day and swallowing my Prevacid, vitamins etc.
I think about it an hour later when I am sitting at my desk filling the candy dish and inhaling the rich smell of chocolate and knowing I don't need to have a piece.
I think about it a little bit later when I finally have time to sip my protein drink and catch up on the October board.
I think about it at lunch time only becaue my coworkers look at my tiny lunch and comment and ask the inevitable "how much have you lost now?"
I think about it throughout the afternoon as I recap what I have eaten, how much water I have put in me, and plan out my evening schedule.
I think about it after work as I nibble a string cheese on the way to my first piano students house.
I think about it after the lessons as I drive to the gym and work out for an hour.
I think about it after that as I drag my weary butt home and finally eat dinner.
Then I get to relax for an hour before going to bed - but....oh wait, I need to think, have I had enough water today?
The better question for me is when do I not think about my WLS?
However, it's not so much a constant thinking as it has become a "way of life" I know I need to do certain things, and have incorporated them into my lifestyle. I wouldn't change the way things are for anything.
Maybe the question should be : When do you not think about the process?
I think about it all the time! When I brushing or washing my hair and I see so much coming out. When I eat. Before bed. Watching TV...you know the drill.
I enjoy thinking about it and I know that each time I think about it I am actively doing something about my future. Before surgery I could eat a donut and coffee three times a day with out a second thought.
I feel like I have been given a new lease on life and I want to make sure that I don't screw it up!
Good Question ~ Made us think, hehehe

All day long.
I agree with everyone else. I don't think about it to the point that it's an obsession, but I do think about my choices and I always have a running total in my head of I need X more grams of protein for the day and I need X oz of water to meet my goal. I think it's good because it's changing how I think about food and how I relate to food.

Great question!
It seems to be always a part of my thought process..from the minute I wake up in the morning (hoping to go potty, and stepping on the scale), to right before I fall asleep trying to find a comfortable position for my now bony knees!
I think about it every time a take a bite/sip of anything...every time I walk past someone in the office (because I now have a ton of confidence, and don't mind being noticed!).
I assume sooner or later it will become less and less a part of my day, but for now, I revel in the newness every day!
I'm so thankful for my tool!!
