hello october babies... did you miss me? i have been lurking occasionally on the boards, but just not up to typing. after getting over pneumonia, my son brought us a wonderful gift from a couple weekend trips to his college (he's home this semester at county, but will return to ursinus next fall)... he brought us SCABIES!! eewww... luckily he is the only one that actually had them, but the whole house had to do the treatment. well, i'm telling you, my immune system must be shot with all the times i've been sick lately... i got a horrific allergic reaction to the cream that i put all over my body!! so, my doctor said to try three days of round the clock benedryl so that i wouldn't have to go on prednisone. ugh... i am so ready to be well!!! i did get my january cards out though... i hope you enjoyed getting them. and, my feb. cards are ready to be put in the mailbox on the first!! that's a shocker in itself!! i ordered my gazzelle on saturday, and can't wait to get it and get started on that. i think it will be a great addition to my workouts in the pool. i also went out yesterday afternoon to the bookstore!!! i did it... i am officially a FlyBaby!!! i can't wait to get started. i slept untill noon today (my last dose of benedryl was at 6am), but i am still going to do the "27 fling boogie"... and i have on my "lace up shoes". i did go downstairs to shine my sink, but alas it is already shiney. i don't have trouble with things being clean (o'k so i have a housekeeper), my problem is clutter. i love the term "chaos - can't have anyone over syndrome", that is one of the main reasons i want to get my house back in order. i used to love to entertain, and all of the family gatherings were always at my house. i bet i haven't had anyone in here in three years. that's sad. i have tons of "hot spots" that i can't wait to get rid of... my only problem is that 5 minutes a day on my hot spots will take all day at first, there are so many. lol. ok, well that is my plan october friends... i will probably need lots of help and encouragement along the way. you all are one of the reasons that i think i can do this. i know i have the support of many friends on this board. i also will be moving my computer from my bedside. i am putting it downstairs on my desk in the kitchen (as soon as i clear the all of the junk from it). i spend way too much time playing solitaire and freecell and reading boards and just surfing the web. wish me luck october friends, i am at the beginning of a new lifestyle. fondly, patricia p.s. for those of you that didn't know... my clutter problems got out of hand when i spent 2 years in pain and then one year in bed from my degeneritive disc disease... i had my third spine surgery in july of 2005 (i have an artificial disc), and i am off of all of the pain killers that i was on for five years. i still have some pain, but not nearly as much as before. bending and standing or sitting for long periods are hard for me as i am most comfortable flat on my back. ok, enough yucky stuff, i've got some flying to do!!!

I did get your card in the mail on Saturday and it was very nice to see it!!! It sounds to me like you have a lot of things going on. Glad to hear that you are better and on the mend. Keep us posted on how you like your gazelle and how the "flying" is going for you. Take care, Deanne

thanks deanne... at least you missed me. lol. i'm glad that you got your card and enjoyed it. i had fun doing them, so much so that i immediately did my february cards. now i have a while to think of something for march. the flying went well today, and i even got in a 35 minute brisk walk outside with the dogs. it was so cold on my uncovered skin!! i won't be going out in short socks and cropped yoga pants again anytime soon. all of my covered skin was fine, but ooh that wind was stinging my face and shins. what a great feeling to be up and around again though. i had a great day, and i hope you did as well. fondly, patricia

I think almost every college student has to get scabies. I remember having them. Ewwww. Had to bleach everything in sight. Glad you are feeling better, and I loved the card. Aime

Hi Patricia!!! Glad to see you are back and finally well. Take care of yourself! We don't want you to get sick again like that. Don't you love the FLYlady system? It's great. I need to get back into those habits again. I slacked off for a while and my hot spots are screaming for help. We won't discuss the closets.... lol Keep up the good work! Susan
