I had GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD for dinner tonight!! The first time since my surgery and it was WONDERFUL!!! I was a little nervous about trying salad after hearing some of you say you had some problems, so I didn't eat a whole lot, but what I did eat was wonderful and I enjoyed it soooooooooo much!! Could this be a WOW moment?!

Yep, I'd call it a WOW moment. Never knew salad could taste so good, did you? I make myself Chicken Caesar Salads a couple of times a week. I also had a Taco salad at Bob Evan's Last night. Pushed aside the tortilla chips and cornbread and tried to eat as much of the chili as I could find in it. Didn't have as much protein in it as I had hoped. But it was VERY YUMMY!!! I was able to eat about half of it. I asked my nurse on Monday about salads because by the time I put the lettuce, then the chicken, then the cheese or whatever in the bowl, it looks huge. She said not to worry because once you chew up the lettuce, it is practacally nothing, so eat away. Hope you continue to tolerate salad. Hugs, Tabby

Yeah Holly!!! Congrats!!! Glad you tried it and it liked you!! I've found I can tolerate salad as long as it's not iceburg lettuce. And, I'd have to say DEFINITELY a WOW moment! Hope you have many many more. Susan
