I had my 4 month check up on Wed and had my first round of blood work drawn and I haven't felt the same since then. Could it be from all the blood they had to draw (10 tubes)? I am extremely exhausted, I get lighted headed when I get up and just don't feel like myself. My eyes have also been bothering me this week. I am getting them checked out. My eyes burn and are blurry. If you have experienced these symptoms is this normal because the amount of blood we have to give?

Sounds like vitmains and a need for fluids to me. Call your doctor.

I would ask your dr about this. It is hard to tell if the way you are felling is from the blood draw. I would think that in two days your blood should be replinished and that feeling should be gone, if it is from that. I can see feeling that way the rest of the day of the draw, but not beyond that. Have you been getting in all of your vitamins? I posted earlier about dizziness. Maybe it is your blood pressure or something? Definately check with your dr if this continues. Hope you are feeling better. Let us know what the dr and eye dr say. Hugs, Tabby

Hi there!! I'm not sure if a blood draw could cause these symptoms. It sounds like you need to contact your doctor. If your surgeon isn't available this weekend, try calling your PCP to speak with someone. All doctors have answering services and should return their phone calls. Please don't let this go for too long. Good luck!!! Susan

I would be on the phone with my doctor asap. It could be from having that much drawn or something else but the only true way to find out is to call and let them know how you are feeling. Good luck!! *huggles* Felicia

I totally agree with everyone. Call your doc ASAP! I could not find the info but I think it is like only 24 hours before you totally replace the blood that they have drawn. I have had way more taken than that ebfore and I have never had any issues. My husband does but when at the Dr. he said it was jsut all in his head. All he feels is a little week though. I hate to tell ya but your blood loss during suregery was not a piece of cake either and it did not produce these symptoms. I would drf be calling the doc asap! I hope you find an answer and I def hope you get to feeling better. Sending hugs your way! Melissa

I AGREE W/ EVERYONE ELSE, CALL YOUR PCP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I WOULDN'T THINK THE SYMPTOMS YOU'RE DESCRIBING IS FROM THE BLOOD DRAW. 10 VIALS SEEMS LIKE ALOT TO EVERYONE BUT IN FACT EACH TUBE IS ONLY 3mls WHICH GIVES YOU A TOTAL OF 30mls OR 1 OUNCE. IT DOES SOUND LIKE A VITAMIN OR FLUID INTAKE PROBLEM. ARE YOU GETTING ALL YOUR FLUIDS IN? HAVE YOU GOTTEN YOUR LAB RESULTS YET? IT MAY BE THAT YOUR HEMOGLOBIN OR IRON IS LOW. GET IN TO SEE YOUR PCP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE KEEP UP POSTED ON WHAT YOUR TESTS REVEAL AND WHAT YOUR PCP SAYS. DONNA, SFY
