I feel you on the scale!!! I had been stuck since Jan 4 and it finally moved yesterday down 3 pounds...aren't we all impatient. I keep thinking if I am to loose 100 lbs which I have 73 lbs left then it best better be doing it. I only worked out once this week because of being ill so I need to work on that next week. You might want to try adding some different things during the day to shock you system out of boredom. You can do it Tabby!!! You will see Onderland soon!!! Hugs,

HEY TABBY, DON'T GET DISCOURAGED, WE ALL WILL OR HAVE GONE THROUGH THE SAME THING W/ THOSE DANG PLATAUS. THEY'RE SO FRUSTRATING, DISPITE DOING AND EATING EVERYTHING WE'RE SUPPOSED TO EAT THEY (PLATAU) STILL OCCUR. I'VE READ SOMEWHERE THIS IS THE BODY'S WAY OF ADJUSTING TO AND RESTING FROM A CERTAIN AMT. OF WT. LOSE. I HAVE GREAT FAITH THAT BEFORE YOU KNOW IT THE SCALES WILL BE MOVING AGAIN. DON'T GIVE UP THE GOOD FIGHT. SENDING SCALE MOVING DOWN VIBS: "MOVE THAT SCALE, MOVE THAT SCALE, MOVE THAT SCALE, MOVE THAT SCALE" KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK YOU'RE DOING. DONNA, SFY

Hey my sweet October Sister... I have a feeling this will be long so go get a glass of water to sip while you read. First of all, after losing our bodies do need a readjusting period. This is when the inches leave. So, if you haven't, measure yourself. I'm sure the numbers are lower than they were the last time you checked them. I know how frustrating it is. We want the pounds and inches to go at the same time, but unfortunately, that's not the way this works. Second, you need to track your food intake. Daily. Make sure you put down every bite you eat and everything you drink. Use Fitday - it's free. Or any of the other websites that track your nutritional intake. I personally use fitday. It keeps track of EVERYTHING - your calories, fat, carbs, and there are reports that will show you your nutritional analysis for everything you've eaten that day. You can put your weight in there and it will show you how fast you are losing. I love looking at the graph going DOWN!! It's nice too because you can see when you need to make changes. Third, don't cut out all carbs. Our bodies need them for fuel. That's what gives us energy. Considering where we are all at and how much we are able to eat, I'd recommend to not go over 100 carbs per day. That should be your TOP number. Try to stay well below it. I shoot for around 40-60 carbs per day. Some days I go over, some I'm under. Fourth, exercise is GREAT! We need it to maintain our muscles, lose weight, tone our bodies and refresh our minds. Love that feeling after I've had a good work out. Those endorphins are fantastic. Sometimes, your body gets tired of doing the same work out day in and day out and you need to change things up. Take a look at what you are doing and see if you can change it. Maybe just change the order you do things...any sort of change confuses your body and makes it want to lose again. Fifth....same thing applies to what you are eating. We get into a rut with our food. We find a combo that works for a few weeks, we lose weight great and then we stall. But, we are still eating the same foods. This is the time to make a change. Try something new. Eat a few more carbs one day. The next day lower the carbs but have one meal that has a little more fat (good fat) than you've been eating. Have a salad if you haven't. If you have been having one daily, then don't for a few days. Anything to change it up. It's what worked for me this week. I found I was in a huge rut (I saw this by looking at my fitday log) and when I made changes, I started losing again. Sixth.....drink lots of water. Make sure you get in your fluids. It will also help get the scales moving. The more you drink the better. If you are taking in 64 daily, try to up it to 72. That's just one extra glass of water. You can do it! Last.....I'll send the heavy steel toed boots to you so you can stomp your scale. If nothing else, it'll be good exercise and cathartic at the same time. Hope some of this helps. And, feel free to send it back to me the next time I start whining about not losing weight. I know it will be my turn again in a few weeks. LOL Love ya girl!!! Susan

ya know...I wasn't kidding when I suggested once before that we all get together next October and have a scale smashing party... ...hate the evil things...they've been mastering me my whole life...I want to give them back some of the same pain I've had! I can't see myself making the 199 Valentines goal I set I worked out this week till my body couldn't take any more and I only got down to 230. Lisa
