STUPID, STUPID SCALE...
Well, I think I have hit my first platau. I have been stuck at 212 (well, going up a pound here and there) for a week, now. I have gotten on the scale every day expecting it to be lower, but it hasn't happened yet. Exercise is not even helping it move. How frustrating. I have not been eating many carbs at all. Maybe a little at one meal a day and it still is not going down.
I know I need to track my food better to make sure I am getting in all of my protein. I start each day with a protein shake worth 30 grams of protein, so I figure with everything else I eat throughout the day, it should equal another 30 grams. Maybe I need to start shooting for 80 grams of protein a day. Maybe I need to TOTALLY cut out the carbs (man, I love carbs). I haven't even had any bites of candy. Maybe I need even MORE water. I wanted to be down to 199 by Valentine's Day. I can't do that if the damn scale won't move.
I have ordered two different Leslie Sansone Walk Away The Pounds DVD's and a Stability Ball DVD, so maybe that will help me. I need something. URGH!!! Please send me some kind of ~*~*~scale move down~*~*~ vibes. Thanks to all for your support. Hope you are all doing better than me right now.

The Walk Diet is with Leslie, too...(and the gang!)....she does a 1 mile walk and a 2 mile walk or you can do both of them together --- I haven't been able to get through the 1 mile...but I haven't tried lately!! I also got about through a half mile and had to stop and take a break!! It works not only your legs, but your whole body! A friend of mine recently bought a copy of it for $5 on e-bay!!!
My neighbor Linda, had GB about 2 years ago and she had the same surgeon as you!!

I vote for tracking exactly what you are putting in your mouth to see whats up there. Hey you maybe right on or it maybe as simple as a small change here and there with something.

I soooooo understand what you're going through right now! My scale is also being stuborn. I know eventually it'll start to move again but until that day I'm aggravated also. Your goal for Valentine's Day is still doable. Be positive!!! You're doing great!

I have had that same problem for the last week as well. I have gone to the gym 5 days this week and I am not eating any different than any other week. But still no weight loss. I know I plateu for sometimes up to 3 weeks. Just hang in there. I think sometimes its hard for us to be patient, as we went through major surgery. I feel like it should fly off but I guess our bodies just need the catch up time. Glad to know I am not alone. I like the loosing weeks so much better....

I have been struggling in the last week too and didn't lose anything and I really haven't lost much since the surgery, unfortunately. My doctor is very encouraging, though, and one of the things he's said to me that stuck with me was, "So, this is about the time you would quit a diet, right?" Of course it is!! A couple months of real effort and now the results aren't so evident and it doesn't seem worth it. But, the good thing is, we can't turn back. We've chosen to CHANGE. This thought keeps me choosing those "little changes" through the rough days.
Do you mind if I ask what your starting weight was?
