Satisfying a craving
I never was a wing fan. Baltimore is famous for it's chicken boxes. 5 fried wings and fries. I think you can buy a chicken box on every corner in the city. I was never one who ate them though. One, I find eating wings a waste of time and energy. I just don't care for them theat much. 2. I don't like super spicey foods. I have learned to find a way to satisfy your craving. There is always a way to substiture and make your taste buds happy. This journey certainly has been an education for all of us.
I never really asked, What do you teach Patricia? I am also an educator. I haven't been in the classroom for quite awhile now. I am a specialist working out of the school board building. I also used to teach Driver's education classes at night. That was an experience. I am still certified to teach Driver's ed in Maryland. I may go ahead and seek another part time gig to help with some of my bills. Can't complain too much about $15.hour. I also love direct contact with students (in small metered amounts ). I was a Writing Specialist when I did teach (high school special education level classes).
Anyway....
Enjoy your wings.
Aime
I was a high school english teacher for several years. However, it wasn't my "thing" - I wasn't even certified, it was a small private school and I was doing it as a favor to my friend who was the headmaster at the time. Now I teach piano lessons in the evenings. I travel to the students homes. There is a slight possibility I may return to the school next year to teach music part time. We are working out a deal that would include health insurance, which is not typically offered to part-time employees. It would allow me more time to devote to the piano teaching business as right now I am trying to cram in as much as I can after working full time all day and it is wearing me out. Without this full time job I could easily fit in 4 hours or more an evening of lessons and at 30-40 dollars an hour (depending on distance travelled) that would be a good thing.
