Ready to kick the scale....

UGH.... Well, it's been two weeks with no drop in weight. I know what's happening. My body is readjusting and losing inches (almost 1 inch on my waist alone) but STILL!!! I want to see the scale MOVE. Just one pound would make me soooo happy right now. Every morning I get up and look in the mirror and think "Wow! I'm even smaller. I bet I've lost a pound by now." Then I step on the scale....and it says 190. I've been thinking about this. Tell me what you think. My hubby has steel toed boots for work. They are heavy. I will put them on and walk into the bathroom and then start kicking my scale. Hard. Repeatedly. This will take care of two things. #1. It will relieve a lot of frustration and #2. It can be considered exercise, right?? Of course, then my scale will be dead and the next one might say I weigh even more..... Hmmmmm....maybe I should just give it a few more days..... Hope everyone is having a good day. Susan

In addition to the boots, you could add some ankle weights for even more strength building goodness. Kick that scale! You're doing great - it doesn't matter what the numbers say - just take a good look in the mirror.

Ankle weights are a great idea. May have to try that....especially for those kicks to the scale. More power!!! Wooo hooooo..... Susan

Dear Susan, Ankle weights are good for when you are doing toning exercises, but be wary of using them for walking around. This is extra strain on your joints, not strength for your muscles. Just browsing around and saw this post.... Elizabeth

Okay Deanne....I'll kill my scale, ship the boots to Melissa who can kill her scale and then ship them off to you. Man, these boots are going to be well travelled. LOL Susan

I hear ya Angela. I'm thinking I need to stay off the scale for a few days and give my body a chance to lose weight....but it's so darn hard to stay away!! Hello. My name is Susan and I am a scale-aholic. You know, they say the first step to getting better is admitting you have a problem..... BTW, there is a line for the boots so it may be a while before they get there. Susan
