I was thinking this might be a good idea to change up my lunch variety - but I'm scared (don't like getting sick!) so I thought I'd see if anyone has tried them and how they 'sat'... were you able to eat a whole dog?

I haven't but I have tried regular hot dogs ( all beef ) and they went down just find. Mind you I don't eat them often, just usually steal a bite of my sons plate at lunch lol as the only true way in my mind to eat them is on a goooooooooooood bun with relish and onions lmaoo I say buy a small package and give them a whirl at home. Oh and yeah I probably could eat a whole one over 30 mins.. *huggles* Felicia

I haven't eaten a turkey dog, either. I have taken a bite or two off of my kids plates. I do really enjoy a good hotdog with a soft bun and ketchup, mustard and onion...or a chilidog from our local hotdog place. Best dog's I've ever had. I have considered buying some turkey dogs for a change. I'm sure I could eat a whole one, but would probably not have anything else at that meal...other than Heinz Ketchup!!! MMMMmmmm!!! Let us know how it goes if you try them. Good Luck. Tabby

I haven't tried hot dogs at all.....but my #3 son LOVES little smokies and I've snitched one of those from him and it's gone down just fine. Thank goodness he doesn't get to eat them very often. LOL Let me know if you do decide to try them. I'd love to have a hot dog one of these days..... Susan

Michelle, My answer is NOOOOOOOOO. LOL only because I do not eat hot dogs. YUCK! BUT however my hubby has had them and they settled very well for him. They are a treat as they are high in nitrates and they are bad bad bad. Plus they lower certain things in men (the little swimmers) and so I do not let him near them often! Still have to have kids here. Anywho my advice is try them. He eats a whole dog and did at our stage and it went fine. Ketchup was they key though. Helps the suckers slide down and go nicely. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Hugs, Melissa

Thanks everyone - I bought a package lastnight - I just have to get the courage to try them! I bought some fat free crescent roll dough - thought I'd cut up a hot dog in little chunks and wrap around a little dough since it's light and airy, and see how that goes. I'll let you know if things don't go well! In reality, would love to have a hot dog fresh off the bbq on a nice soft bun!

Michelle, Please please please be careful. That cresent rool dough while light and airy is also likely to gum up in your pouch and not be good at all. I know from experience with hubby about this one. He though they would be great becuase they were "light and airy" but it is like white bread is white and airy. Just gums up inot a dough ball in the pouch. Please be careful. Melissa

The hot dogs sound YUMMY!!!! But man I wouldn't have touched those rolls with a 50 foot stick lol. Between the sugars, carbs and empty calories that *shivers* just crosses that type of stuff of my eat list lol. Hope they go down ok for you. Good Luck!!! *big hugs* Felicia
