Gushing About Hubby Moment...

I have the best husband in the whole world... I say that because of almost 13 years together he is still my best friend in the whole world. I have to tell you what he did today... Ok back up to the day I decided to have WLS. Me: "Honey, I am going to have weight loss surgery what do you think" Hubby:" I am there for you 100% Go for it!" and he was and is there 100% for me every day in this journey. In fact he even went out and bought me a PowerShot Camera because he knew how important it would be for me to document my journey and he wanted to make sure I had a good camera to collect all my memories with. AWWWWWWWWWW Surgery: He was AMAZING!! I could not have made it through with out him. He took care of me in the hospital having to help me do things that no man should have to lol but he did them with out a complaint or a grimace. After Surgery: There isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't ask how I feel, how goes the weight loss, looking good comments, etc... There is never a day I don't feel the the pride he has for me and what I have done for our family. Ok jump to today... Emailed him this morning with the picture I showed all you guys. Back and forth we email with the "Proud of you" "Thanks!" " your doing great" "Thanks!" stuff and then the phone rings and he is calling from work. "just wanted to tell you I love you and I am proud of you". Ok this is a big deal cuz of where he works its a "guy zone" lol and well I am sure he caught crap for it. Then I am sitting here gabbing on the net and I see the Flower van drive in ... I read a lot on this site of the marriages that are rocky, or unsupportive, or the posts of how awful people seem to treat each other and many other things that are just so sad. It is heart breaking to think that not everyone ended up as lucky as I did. Not many people can actually remember the date of the only time they had a fight ( May 27, 1996 ). Yes there are days of disagreement lol but no fighting... I always knew I was lucky from the first date ( blind date to boot lol) and there isn't a day that goes by that I am not thankful for finding my Mr. Right. He really is my best friend in the whole world. I have great friends but he is, well he is just my other half. Ok enough mush lol just had to share my beautiful flowers. felicia, you are one lucky girl... and your hubby is one lucky guy!! your flowers are beautiful, yellow roses are one of my favs. i know how you feel about being lucky to have found your "other half", i feel the same way about mine. we have ben married for almost 23 years... our first fight was only a month after we were married. i will never forget the card that came with the "apology" flowers that day. it said "you are the worthiest opponent ever... love, "mohamed" markoe". i still have that card in my wallet. we are a bunch of lucky gals here on the otober board. fondly, patricia

LOL Yup he sure is *grin*. We learned early on that fighting just didn't fit "us" lol so we just don't do it. Its not hard to not do it though as there are few things we don't see the same way on. He is amazingly patient lol which goes great with my amazingly impatient personality lolol. *huggles* Felicia

First off..way to go Hubby!! The roses are just beautiful!! I have to agree we are lucky on this board to have such great and loving husbands. My hubby has been wonderful throughout this journey and will be for the entire trip. He is also my best friend and I am so glad to have meet him...he is my other half also. So hats off the hubbies!!! We love you guys!!! One huge for you guys!!! Without them were would we be.

Hee hee hee.....this made me laugh Felicia. I tell my hubby all the time that it's HIS fault I gained weight. It went up with each and every pregnancy never to leave my body again. He knows I'm just teasing and wouldn't change it for anything. Well, actually, I would NOT gain the weight if I could help it.....but I really couldn't help it, so I guess I wouldn't change anything. lol I was at the doctor's office one day watching "Accent Health" tv ...and it had a segment on women gaining weight with pregnancy. It said an amazing thing....that 1 out of every 5 women who gain weight with pregnancy can't lose it no matter what they do! I felt validated. No matter what I did, I couldn't lose the weight. It loved me too much to leave. LOL To know there was actually a study out there documenting this made me feel so much better. Dh heard about it as soon as I got in the van. LOL He finally had to admit it actually WAS his fault that I gained weight. Then, he smiled and said...."but it DOES take TWO, you know..." He had me there...... Anyway.....gotta love our hubby's. They are definitely some of the best ones around. for the guys!! Oops...and sorry for the long rambling post. Not sure what got into me.... Susan

Oh Felicia, How wonderful is that... God really blessed you! I know that some day soon I will find my Mr. Right. I know he is there.. I just need to find him.. Or he find me.. I will use your posts as note cards on what to look for.. hee heee.. The flowers are beautiful!!! Luvd and Hugs, Tiffany
