Hey Guys!!! Yesterday was totally surprising!!

I had the est things happen yesterday... 1) My Best Friend and I were going to lunch and was walking into the restraunt (sp) and out was coming a girl I used to work with she hadn't seen me about 5 months, well she was pregnant (aww) and her eyes about shot out of her head. She was yelling "Oh my gosh you look great!!! I didn't know who you were at first!!!" Well of course I was floating..then 2) We were seated and I looked over to see another lady that I have known forever looked over at me and smile..you know the smile when you think you know someone but not sure...well I said "Hi, Sandy" she looked at me as she yelled "Look at you!! Wow...I didn't know you" ...now given all this happened in a 5 min. spand and sorry but I don't think I have changed that much. I then asked my Best Friend...have I changed that much and she said well I see you everyday but if I didn't yea I wouldn't know ya. 3) I went shopping..I don't like shopping.. anywho..I wanted a new pair of jean(Levi's) so I went over the Plus Size part of Goody's grabbed a pair of 18's then grabbed a few shirts 1x and off to the dressing room...well..the jean fit perfectly!!! YA HOO!! the shirt way to big..so I I ended up in the Misses Department..I was totally floored. 4) My Best Friend went to her first support group meeting with me and she has decided to do the lap band...I am so proud of her. Now..back to the people who didn't recognize me..I still don't get that!!

Angela, Sounds like some wonderful WOW moments for you yesterday!!! Too cool!! I know what you mean about people not recognizing you. I know my face is the same, only slimmer. My hair is the same color, just shorter. When I go back to where I used to work, people act like they have no clue who I am anymore...and I worked with these people on a daily basis for over a year! Too weird. But, hey, it makes me feel great when they only recognize me because of my voice. Guess before they were just looking at the body and wondering why I didn't go on a diet. Susan

Aw, Angela...what a wonderful lunch. How exciting that people don't recognize you. I haven't had that yet, but you must have felt great that you have lost so much weight that people don't recognize you. Also, congrats on the clothes shopping. Shopping is getting to be so much fun. I have 2 pr of 18's Levis I fit in right now. I'm loving it. Haven't had Levi's in years. My sister bought me a pr of 16's probably 8-10 years ago, for Christmas, when I did LA Weighloss and got down to 198 for like a day. I wore the jeans ONCE, to my mom's Christmas party. They were very tight and I needed to lose more weight to fit into them comfortably. That never happened. I started going up and up after that. I ended up letting my sister "borrow" the jeans when she gained weight and fit into a 16. Then she wore them so much they got worn out and thrown out. Now I am getting back down there and want her to buy me a new pair to replace them Glad to hear that you friend is having the surgery. Think of how much fun you guys will have shopping in the future.
