Yummy lunch
I've been reading all the posts about tilapia from everyone...and finally decided to make some for myself. (I've been having shrimp quite a lot since all those posts, lol.) It was YUM-O! I do need to add more spices next time, but otherwise, I was really pleased with it. I've had it at restaurants, but never tried cooking it at home.
Thanks for the info/push to try something new!! I'm really glad I did!

I looove tilapia! I'm glad you tried making it for yourself. There's so much you can do with it. I usually have tilapia at least once a week. Sam's Club sells it in a big bag, and each piece is individually wrapped and frozen. It's perfect, I can fix one for me or several for the whole family.

Unfortunately, my family doesn't really like fish. Unless it's shrimp, that is. So, I just bought a small bag at the grocery store. But, it was the same otherwise - individually wrapped and sealed. I really like that feature!!!
You'll have to send some really quick, easy recipes for making it. Today I did lemon pepper - just not enough of it. LOL

I'm a big tilapia fan, Susan.
I've only discovered fresh fish in the last few years! I grew up on Gortons and Mrs Paul's fish sticks and fish cakes, and I always thought I hated fish. I'm now a big fan of tilapia, tuna steaks, and swordfish, as well as shell fish. Tilapia always goes down well for me. I started buying fish at Whole Foods, because they know their stuff and will let me buy little pieces, to try new things. Plus, their stuff is always of good quality and they only buy from suppliers that re-stock the sea.
I usually cook tilapia in a little olive oil, maybe with a bit of lemon pepper or a little soy ginger sauce. Sometimes I have it with a bit of fresh salsa. I usually just go with what I'm in the mood for or what sounds appealing to my new finicky digestive system.
