I am officially Heart Broken..
No loss in 14 days. I started to keep track of everything on fitday. I eat any where from 500-800 calories a day. 30-35 carbs. My fluid intake is low but has been since I started. I drink about 50-60 oz a day. I just feel horrbile. 14 days is just too long to not even lose an oz.. I walk my dog every other night for about 45 min. I am so concerned. What if I am done losing weight. What if this is all this surgery can do for me?
I am going to my Moms for the day.. I just need to get away and stop dwelling on it. Right?
Hope you guys all have a good day!
Tiff
Are you getting all your protein in? Everything I have read at been told has said the more protein we get in the better our loss will be.
Hang in there. Unfortunately stalls are part of the deal *sigh*.
*HUGS* I am sure you are fine and will see a loss at your next weigh in...
Really track your fluids and protein for the next week and I am sure you will see that scale move.
Water water water protein protein protein

Tiff don;t worry. As they say this too will pass. I have the advantage of having watch my husband go though this all summer. He is almost 7 months out now. What you can do it take up your water decrease your carbs and up your protein. Sometimes what can happen as it was explained ot us is your body gets used to what you are eating and goes into a sort of keep it all mode. It soon will figure out that this is not enough and will start to take fat again for energy. I hope I am making sense. BUT my upping your water and protein (make sure you get at least 70-80 grms in a day) you kindof trick your body somehow. Anyways that is what always worked for him and what he was told to do by our but to break the plateau. Also keeping your artificial sweetener down too can help. This has worked for you do not worry about it at all. This is normal and you are not alone. Hubby still does it and he just reminds himself that it will pass. Do not fear and keep your chin up. This will pass and you will start loosing agian.
On another note if it is anywhere close to your TOTM then that can make you retain fluid and notl ose as well.
I am in no way a dr at all but this is just my experience.
Chin up...hugs,
Melissa
First of all, BIG HUGS to you, Tiffany. I know how hard it is to go 2 weeks and see no change on the scale. I just went thru it myself. It's hard to deal with. I had the "is this IT?" feelings, doubts, etc. But, I knew that if I kept working the program it would start moving again.
Felicia and Melissa both gave you some great advice....and it's also what I did to get the scale moving again. Up the protein, water and exercise and it will happen. If you can lower the carbs, that will help too. I find I need a certain amount of carbs to do well...so I couldn't lower those. But, by upping everything else (I wasn't able to do much in the way of exercise with the sick kids) the scale has finally started moving.
Also, don't get too discouraged. Remember our bodies are in a constant state of change right now. First we lose the pounds. Then the body has to reconfigure itself by losing inches. Unfortunately, these two things don't happen simultaneously. But, after the inches go, then we start losing again. And, if it's that time of the month, you are going to retain water. Once that is past though, you should see a drop.
Hope this helps. But, if you are still worried, give you surgeon's office and/or your NUT a call for some more specific advice. We are all here for you, but none of us are doctors and can't really give medical advice. All I can do is tell you what has worked for ME.
Take care hon, and enjoy your day with your Mom. You are right that you need to stop dwelling on it. Stress will cause you to not lose weight also....

TIFF I AM THINKING I AM AT A STALL RIGHT NOW ALSO!!! I HAVE NOTICED THAT FOR OVER A WEEK NOW THE NUMBERS HAVEN'T MOVED DOWN JUST STAYED THERE!!! SO I AM TAKING IN MORE PROTEIN AND DRINKING MORE WATER AND SEE IF THAT WILL GET IT TO MOVE DOWN AGAIN!!!! HOPEFULLY BY THURSDAY WHEN I HAVE MY 3 MONTH CHECKUP IT WILL BE DOWN MORE....HANG IN THERE AND WE WILL GET MOVING TOGETHER!!!!

Hi Guys. Just got back form my Moms. It was very nice. She had a bag of clothes for me from a neighbors daughter who had the surgery over a year ago. Boy was I surprized to fit in a 16... I havent bought anything new except one pair of work pants. So i am set for a while.. Got about 4 new outfits . Thank you all for your encourgement. It means so much to me.. I think I need to up my protein maybe. I get most of it from Shakes as I cant eat meat really. I have a very very hard time. I have about 60-70 grams a protein a day. Maybe if I up it to 80-90 it will help. I have my 3 month appointment on Tuesday. We will see what he says.
Thanks all of you!
Luvs and Hugs,
Tiff
Aw, Tiff...so sorry to hear about your stall. That sucks. Perhaps you are losing inches. Congrats on the size 16!!! I haven't been in a size 16 since my freshman year in college. You must feel great about that. I hope that your body figures out what is going and and the scale starts moving again soon...AND IT WILL!!!
Glad you had a nice day at your mom's.
Hugs,
Tabby
