How many carbs and fat per day?
Okay....
I've been pondering this question for a while now. I have asked and been told things like "keep them low" and "everything in moderation" but no specific numbers. So, now I'm asking you guys (and another board I participate in daily) what you've been told.
How many are too many on fat and carbs?
How many are too few on fat and carbs?
Is there even anything as "too few" on them?
I track everything I eat daily in Fitday and I try to keep these numbers low or at least reasonable....but somedays when the numbers are low I find myself feeling really hungry and wanting to snack. If they are a little higher I feel more satisfied and I'm not tempted to snack.
And, here's my other question....Is this another one of those "it depends on the individual" issues??
Crazy the things we have to think/worry about. i never thought about fat grams and carbs before....

My little WLS Handbook states:
FAT: less than 4-5g per serving
CARBS: less than 10-15 g per serving
I know for me personally I try to stay under 25 grams of carbs a day. I don't worry about the fat grams. But on average I get 20ish grams of fat per day. But good fat. I average less then 5 in sat fat a day.
Everyone is different.. Every NUT is different. I would go with what your personal NUT or Surgeon told ya =) and if they didn't of course give them a call.

Thanks for the info Felicia.
The only directions I got were to "keep it low" and "everything in moderation". No specifics which was distressing to me.
I try to keep the carbs below 40 g per day at least and the fat below 20. Most days I do really well....but today I blew it on the fat grams. The fat equaled my carbs today! 37 grams on both! YIKES.....but the good news was they were "okay" fat grams, more or less. What pushed me over the top was when I had my snack of nuts. Only 1 oz but it had 17 grams of fat! OUCH!!!!
