Does anyone have a Zucchini Fries recipe they can share?
I'm going to attempt to fool my 7 yr old son into thinking that he's eating homemade french fries, and I was wondering if any of you had a recipe that kids are sure to love. I found this one, but what do y'all think?
Zucchini Oven "Fries"
5 zucchini
1 egg white
2/3 cup of flour
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
cooking spray
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Lightly coat baking sheet with cooking spray
3. Trim zucchini and cut in half lengthwise, then slice into 1/4 inch wide sticks resembling french fries.
4. Beat egg white with electric mixer until soft peaks form
5. Add zucchini sticks, tossing to evenly coat.
6. In paper bag, thoroughly shake flour, cornstarch, salt, and garlic powder until combined.
7. Drop in the zucchini sticks, 5 or so at a time, and shake gently to coat.
8. Place all on baking sheet, spray lightly with cooking spray and bake 12-15 min or until golden brown.

Does anyone know how I can change it up to make it lower in carbs? I'm not that bright in the kitchen lol!!
Thanks for your help!
