Good morning!
Good morning everyone!!!
You know, I never noticed how many of you are from PA!! Am I the lone Texan on here?
The temp here was 47 this morning when I took the boys to school (well, the two who actually went to school today, the other two are still sick and going to the ped today AGAIN) and we thought that was COLD. However, compared to what you are all going thru, it sounds like a heat wave. To us thin blooded Texans though, anything below 70 is considered COLD and under 60 is FREEZING. I remember when we moved here in 1995 and I thought everyone was crazy for bundling up when it went below 70....and now I'm one of them!! Isn't it interesting how time changes everything??
Hope everyone has a GREAT day!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!!
I noticed that about all the people from PA as well when I was sending out the card exchanges. Thank you to everyone for the cards!! It does brighten up the day when you receive one of them in the mail.
It is cold here this AM but no snow either. Temp was 25 and I think the high is suppose to be 35 today. Nothing like normal...in years past we have been in the freezing zero temps this time of year. I am not complaining though.
Hope that everyone has a great day!!
Hugs~~

Good morning from California. I don't think I have posted on this board. My name is Karen and surgery was 10/17/06. I so enjoy reading everyone's messages and you have all helped me. I am in a stall or plateau whatever you want to call it. My WLS book says to drink more fluids, eat more protein and exercise more. I have been doing that for 2 days and I am still at the same weight now for 6-days. Has anyone been on a plateau that long? I have lost 40 lbs since surgery and 61 lbs since starting with the Kaiser program. Everyone have a great day and any advice would be great.
Also my 3-month blood tests shows my cholesterol and tryglycerides have gone up, I wonder what is up with that? My CBC shows that my body is producing too many red cells - anyone have that? Bye for now. Karen Skaggs, Riverside, CA
Starting weight 242
Surgery WT 221
WT Today 181
Goal 130
PS Weather here is 40 in AM and high of 65. I am always cold since surgery.
