I think I've had my first wow moments....

Well, last week I went for a haircut/color (have been with same stylist for 10 years); and she kept looking at me; and finally said, what's different; you didn't get new glasses, what's different? I was elated.... so I told her I had the surgery; she went on to say how small my upper half is; face/neck/chest.... (ofcourse the bottom half has to be the last to go??!!!!).... THEN... when I sat in the chair that is usually a tight fit, to where I can't even sit all the way back... well, I was able to fit and sit all the way back! Mind you, still a tight fit, but wasn't a struggle to sit and get comfy! Then today, I went to the bathroom at work, and we have one stall that has the handicap rails permanantly fixed on each side of the toilet seat; and I always squeezed in there and the rails just moved with me; well, I sat down and the rails didn't move, my body didn't touch them!! This is only my 2nd day back to work since surgery, so it's the 1st time I've used that stall. ps - 2 people at work told me today I look healthy and I have a glow about me and my walk is different, like I stride! So funny!! These are big moments for me as I have lots of weight to lose, more than all of you, I'm sure. And it's just what I've needed because I'm having a hard time noticing the loss on myself (except my boobs, which were small to begin with, couldn't they just stay the way they were; I mean, give me something!!). Well, thanks for listening!

Congratulations, Michelle! It feels ssoooooo great, doesn't it? The first time I sat in a booth rather than at a table, a few weeks back, I just looked around really fast, jumped in and jumped out, all fast, just in case I didn't fit, so no one would see me! Everything is an adventure any more! Don't worry about the slower loss on the bottom half...bigger bottoms always have their admirers... Good luck with the doc this week. Lisa
