Hey everyone. Sorry I've been MIA the past few days. My son was in the hospital with his asthma this weekend so I've been away from everything normal. I'm trying to get back into the swing of things and will hopefully have a chance to read all the messages later that I missed. He's still home sick and we are getting ready to go to the pediatrician again this morning for his follow up from the hospital. Will check in later. Finally lost a pound after not losing at all last week....of course, it was that time of the month....plus hospital food. YUCK. Did you know you can NOT eat healthy foods at the hospital?????? UNREAL... TTYL Susan

Thanks Felicia. He's still a sick puppy, unfortunately. We had another big weather change here right after he got out of the hospital and he's doing bad again. THEN, this afternoon the school nurse called and son #3 was vomiting, so I had to go pick him up too. He's continued to vomit all afternoon/evening. I think he said the latest count was 12 times total. UGH....just what I need. Another virus in the house while Matthew's asthma is in high gear. Plus, dh goes back to work on Wednesday. He's been such a great help over the past week. It's going to be a long long week. Susan

I am so sorry he is not feeling good. Hopefully he will be up and around in no time. Tell me about the hospital food. I remember when Fred was in for his surgery (June). Well at that point I thought it was great. All the junk food you want in one place! They have more junk food in those places that anywhere. Sheesh ya would think they would have healthy food there! NOT!!!! Anywho I hope he feels better very soon. Hugs, Melissa

Thanks Melissa. I agree about hospitals. You'd think that would be the ONE place you could easily find something healthy to eat. Thankfully, I took along some south beach bars, "to go" Wylers (like Crystal Light, only cheaper and with Splenda, and I think better tasting!!), and plenty of change so I could buy water. That's what I lived on for two days. Not a fun thing. As for the boy...still sick. And, getting worse. The pediatrician did change the inhaler he's using, but so far it hasn't kicked in to help for any extended length of time. Four hours is the most and now that it is night (always worse) it's only lasting for about 3 hours before he's having problems. Hopefully, in a day or so he'll be better. He goes for a follow up with the pulmonologist on Thursday, so maybe we'll get some answers then....or at least some new suggestions. Susan
