It just keeps getting better

I had my annual diabetic eye exam this morning and it went well. No problems. Then I went downtown via el train...I used to take a bus to town because I was afraid I would get stuck in the turnstile at the el station and I would be mortified. A few weeks ago, I got the courage to try the el and I fit through much better. Today...I didn't even have to turn sideways to get through When I got off my stop coming home, I went for the elevator because I think it's the only way to get to the crossover floor, but I guess I chose the wrong elevator, as it didn't stop at that floor. But, as I was about to get on, I stopped, because the elevator was crowded with boxes and five cute young construction workers...I doubt any of them had reached 30 yet. But a couple insisted I get on, so I did. They were friendly and I said goodbye and got off...and I heard one say, "Man, she's hot! I would -" ...and then the door closed, so I heard no more (which is probably for the best). Seriously!! By the way, I am four weeks away from 46! I feel SSOOOOOOOO good right now! Lisa

wow lisa that is so cool. on new years eve my husband and i went to the country club for a dinner dance, and my daughter and her fiance went also. joking around, when they got out of the car at the valet, i said "hey lauren, fancy meeting you here!" and she replied, "hi mommy, what are you doing here?" so we hug and start walking to the door, and the young valet drops his jaw and says... "mommy? wow!!" he said he would have guessed sisters. now granted, my daughter is my size, and we do look alot alike, but i still say that boy deserves a raise!!! you are right, things keep getting better and better. i can't wait to see you at the next support meeting. fondly, patricia
