Mixed Emotions about the week!!

Okay everyone knows earlier in the week was very stressful. Today lightened up some, then we had a meeting (Dad, Brother and I at first) and I could not believe this but my dad said he could get someone to come in there and do my job for $200.00 week. I run the office, I have a Associates Degree in Science majoring in Medical Office, I also did have 15 years experience in cosmetology and ran 4 salons at one time(Great Clips) and quit to come back to the the family business because my mother had her first stroke so I stepped in took over the first business that my mom and dad had, which they sold. Then I ended up opening this company up to keep my brother, my father, my husband (1st) had a place to work. I think I have tons of experience...and I would have never said nothing like that to them. It hurt... I am considering turning everything over to them, getting out of everything, finding another job and flying away! I am already looking for another job just to pay my medical bills and some other things. I have made alot of sacrifices but they don't see that. Anyway..enough of my ranting!! Thanks for listing.

I have to agree with Melissa. Follow your heart. But give your heart at least a day to digest and calm down. You need to take care of yourself, FIRST. Rant all you need sweetie. Aime

OH, Angela, what a hurtful thing to say. I'm so sorry that you are getting treated like this by your own family after all you have sacrificed for them. That just really stinks. I agree that you need to follow your heart and look out for yourself. Let them see if they can get someone to do your job for $200/week. You can barely get people to bag groceries these days for $200/week. You have come so far in making your life better, you don't need that. We're here for ya, sista!!! Vent away!!! Huge hugs, Tabby

Angela, I know it hurts and I'm sorry for your pain. I'm with you that it's time to make a move in your own direction. Wish you all the best with that. A family tends to assign its members particular roles and, believe me, they will keep you there your whole life if you allow it. Fly, sweetie, fly for your life!! Lisa

Angela, You need to do what is best for you. I know where you are coming from. I have been working for my church since June and pay raises came out with a $8 a week pay raise for me. My former boss contacted me offered me Assistant Vice President with over a $10,000 a year pay raise and after alot of thought and prayer I am going back. I felt bad, but I had to do what was best for me and my family (husband and 4 boys). Really search your heart and do what you have peace about doing not matter what! We are hear and behind you whatever your choice.
