Hello, I got a me one of those scales you guys suggested to me and after 2 months of suspense I finally weighed myself (although I did not look down at the reading too nervous). When my husband read the number to me I was shocked. I have lost 31.5 lbs since the last time I was weighed which was a week after surgery. Which brings my total weight loss since my consultation in May 06 to 45.5lbs. Maybe I am doing this right after all. Thanks for everyones support who offered.

Thanks. I also wanted to ask if you have any suggestions on protein shakes or how do you manage to keep up your protein intake? I think I have tried almost every protien shake and I don't really like any of them.

Congrats on the wl!! I do 3 protein shakes of Unjury 1 I do is a smoothy type protein shake with strawberries and bananas and a scoop of vanilla unjury in there, the others are chocolate unjury in warm water. They have done the trick for me so far, I was like you and I have not really like any of them but these so I am sticking with them. Keep up the great job.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the Unjury, but maybe I should have gotten the vanilla and chocolate . I got the strawberry sorbet and it is horrible to me. Now I do mix the unflavored in puddings and things like that. I am going to try the smoothie thing. I never thought of that.

The only way for me to get the strawberry sorbet unjury down was in the smoothie though it is much better with the vanilla. I did not want to waste it so I choked it down and went out with the vanilla. Let me know what you think. I should be a spokes person for Unjury as I tell everyone that asks about it. lol Deanne

Good for you Lakisha!!!! You are doing GREAT!!!! I have tried quite a few of the protein drinks, and am continuing to try more, but I've got to say....... I use the Body by Fortress ones that are really cheap ($11.50) at Wal-Mart as my staples in Chocolate and Vanilla. I hardly EVER have them by themselves though. I mix them with all kinds of things and I use a Magic Bullet for mixing, although a blender would also work. Some of my concotions: Chocolate with 1/3 to 1/2 of a banana (frozen or not) (I slice them up then freeze them just for this purpose) Chocolate with frozen dark, sweet cherries (YUM!) Chocolate with a tablespoon of peanut butter Chocolate first mixed into a paste with cold water, then HOT (not boiling) water added for "hot chocolate" Same as above, but with hot coffee added for a "mocha" Same as above with coffee and/or Davinci Sugar Free Syrup added (caramel, hazlenut or Kaluha is what I have tried so far.....) With the Vanilla you can do all/any of the above, but also: First thing in the morning, I mix 1 scoop of the vanilla with 12-16 oz of Crystal Light and drink it to take my vitamins (2 birds with 1 stone....) I mix the vanilla with any kind of frozen fruit I have on hand using the bullet, and add yougurt sometimes too for more of a "smoothie". I mix the vanilla into the cold water paste, then add decafeinated hot Chai tea for a vanilla Chai hot drink that is really good. All of these work equally well with either milk or water. If you use skim milk, you add protein there, and with the smoothies, you get a friut serving too. Another easy and cheap way to add protein is to get a box of powdered skim milk and add it to things like yougurt, with your cereal in the morning (in addition to the regular milk you would pour on cereal); add it to sugar free puddings...whatever you can think of. 1/3 of a cup of the powdered milk has 8 grams of protein. You can also buy the unflavored proteins (Any Whey and Unjury) to be added to most anything else. I hope these suggestions help in some way..... Dawn

For shakes I use ProComplex Chocolate ( YUM ) or Nectar Cappuccino Latte. For liquid protein I use Profect Vials and ISOpure RTD The rest of the time I get it all in from foods. I am a big meat eater so can easily put down protein that way. I vote for samples. Cant beat them for saving you money. Good luck! *huggles* Felicia
