The day before surgery, I recorded not only my weight, but my BMI, measurements of pretty much every bit of my body, and clothing sizes. I'm recording these again each month, which is helpful. At two months out from surgery, I have lost: 56 pounds 10.9 points from my BMI 46.25 inches total ...including 7 from my chest, 7.5 from my waist, and 8.5 from my hips. No wonder I'm feeling better! Anyone else keep these records and care to share? Lisa

Mostly only in weight. I do have measurements around here some where I think from Feb but I find it depressing to try and find the same fold to measure every time right now lol You are doing sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing. OH OH I can tell you my BMI change though : From 72 (highest) to 51.8 so a change of 20.2 ish... Keep up the great work!!! *huggles* Felicia

hey lisa, that is awesome. you are doing so great. no wonder you are feeling so much better is right. i didn't do my measurements, although i wish i had. like felecia said, i wasn't so sure i would ever find the same roll to measure. lol. i have only lost 50 pounds since my initial visit with dr. schuricht, (sept. 28th) and 12 of those were before surgery. so, i haave only lost 38 since surgery (oct. 18th). my bmi went from 43.7 to 36.3, so that is about 7.4 points. i don't feel so great yet, i feel about the same. i wish i would start to feel really good, but i think it will take more weight loss to help my back... and i have developed plantars faciaitus, which is killing me. (it is from the muscle in the foot and calf tightening up, so my heel hurts. i'm too much of a chicken (oops, sorry to mention chicken after yesterday) to go and get a needle in my heel, so i am trying to rest it and ice it and stretch it. it keeps my from the treadmill, but i still work out in the pool. well, that was a rant wasn't it??? i am in size 18 pants now, from a 22 before... and i can weare some 1x sweaters, but my 2x sweaters still look ok. they were really tight before though. keep up the good work... i can't wait to see you at the next support group meeting!! fondly, patricia

Patricia, My podiatrist gave me a simple stretch that worked like a miracle. Really, my heel was feeling way better by the very next day. What kind of stretching are you doing now? Lisa

Want to commiserate on the excruciating pain of plantar fascitis! I have had it for about a year now. Back in Sept 2005, I had a kitten that was so happy every time he heard or saw me. I had gotten up in the middle of the night for a bathroom run and he heard me move. As I crossed from my room, he ran between my legs and tripped me. I ended up with an air cast and in bed for 2 weeks. I dealt with pain constantly. I had the shots in my heel 3 times. Finally, I was sent for physical therapy. My first thought was this is going to be a waste of time. I am so glad I went. In my 20 allotted visits, I am now able to walk with little or no pain. Heat, sound therapy, and a special laser therapy that works like accupuncture began my healing. I also started some special exercises. Because of going to this place, I now have a place I can go to exercise. They have an aftercare program for $40/month. I canuse their machines and get assistance from the physical therapist. It is like having a personal trainer. It is also less of a discomfort to exercise there then at a club. Take care, and I hope your foot gets better very quickly! Aime

You guys are all doing great!!!!! I did not measure prior to surgery but did so, reluctantly, when i joined curves. I don't think my totals are anywhere near what yours are. I will know next week. My weight loss from surgery date is 50 lbs. I am probably not getting enough food in but i am concentrating on protein protein protein since i can NOT find ONE SINGLE protein drink i can tolerate. So when i eat protein i can't eat anything. And as you know it isn't much protein. I am looking forward to my three month anniversary so i can take the supplements by mouth b/c i am also skipping them. This is much harder than i ever expected. Glad you all have been successful. It gives me hope.

I didn't really measure myself before had but...I've lost 59 lbs, and 6 1/2 inches from my waist. I only know my waist measurement since "they" measured that at my doctor's office. My BMI is down from 44.1 to 35.6. All my clothes now "fit" where before they were way too tight and pulled badly in all the wrong places. Heaven knows what size I should have been wearing but I was wearing mostly 24's and a few 26's with a couple of 22's tossed in. Fortunately, all my pants have draw strings in the waist so I can still wear them and will be able to wear them for another 50 lbs. Of course I also never and I mean never get rid of clothes when I out grow them unless they have rips or stains soooo I have a wonderful collection of in various size all the way down to 14's. Good thing I always buy conservative classic stuff too! Anyway...we all need to be proud of ourselves and constantly looking back to see where we've been. :D

OH MY!! Your are doing wonderful!!! I keep measurements every month but for the life of me couldn't tell everything. I know I have lost 50 lbs, lost 6 sizes from a size 24 to 18 in pants, wearing XL shirts. I would have love to been at 60 lbs by the end of the year but I will take 50. It is exciting to see the changes. Congrads to All!!
